I've used this product for over a year now and have not "missed a beat". It works as advertised!

I’ve used other products to ensure my heart rate monitor gets a good connection and most do a good job over an hour or so but on longer cycling rides this has lasted the best. Great product and minimal cleaning needed after use.

In spite of soaking with water prior to running, I have experienced very inaccurate HRM readings when weather is cold and dry. The conductive gel works effectively to maintain the functionality and accuracy of the HRM under all weather / climate conditions I have encountered in the last 2 weeks.

I need water for my heart beat watch strap to work but it soon dries up. This solves all my connection issues. Not sticky and wipes off perfectly. Great solution for my issue.

I have 2 very favorite pieces of fitness equipment that use the same model Polar chest-strap heart-rate monitor. My heart rate reading was jumping all over the place from 0 to 50 bpm over what I knew to be in the correct range. I tried spit to make better contact until I was sweating sufficiently. I got so frustrated I decided to try Spinpower. It worked like a charm and the monitor literally never skipped a beat. (Under the heading of TMI, before buying Spinpower I tried KY jelly. It didn't work well at all. The band kept slipping from the lubricant.)

Bought a Nordic Track treadmill way back in 2013. Loved it except for the heart monitor was all over the map. Tried to get the tread mill replaced since the monitor never worked but had no luck and learned to live with it until last year, I stumbled upon Spinpower heart rate monitor conductive Gel. Since using this product, the heart rate monitor worked much more reliably. Still has a few moments on each one hour run but definitely much more stable. Before using Spinpower lube, I tried saline solution and even shaved my hairy chest with no improvement. Three things I noticed when using my chest strap with Spin power gel. 1.) make sure the belt on the chest strap is very snug and tight on your chest. 2.) Apply a liberal amount of Gel on the strap contact areas. 3.) It also seems to help if it is warm and you are sweating a bit during your run. I talked to Nordic Track customer service and recommended that they include a sample of Spinpower Gel with every new treadmill. I understand that the Gel may not work for every one but it is well worth giving it a try. Just finished my first bottle and ordered 2 more to have on hand.

Have a Garmin HR monitor strap that works well inside (if the fan isn't on too high) and outdoors in humid conditions. But the Northeast has been cool and windy most of the spring creating the need for contact gel. But this stuff drys out so quickly it was NO HELP at all. Even rewetting it during a ride would not produce an accurate HR. Very disappointed!

update: I think I have to dock a star for the price; it's at least twice the price of similar gels that aren't branded for sports.I developed some heart issues and need to keep tabs on my heart rate in the gym; I don't trust my wrist-based monitor to be accurate in real-time, but I don't sweat much and my polar strap loses its connection -- often. Since I am a nurse, and I have seen gel used for ultrasounds and bladder scans, it seemed like it would work for this, too. It took a minute, but I found this stuff branded as sports gel -- bonus, I guess. Well, to get to the point (finally), this stuff does work. It helps to put a little more than a smidge on the strap. But it's easy to clean up. I guess I'm going to have to get some more.
