I had a Health o Meter scale that lasted over 20 years and it was great. So when I needed a new one I looked again at Health o Meter. This is a bit more pricey than others but worth every penny! It weighs in .2 lb increments which I really like. This scale is wider than most but that just makes it all the easier to step on. I give this 5 stars all the way!

to activate the scale you need to tap on it wait until the 0 appears and then step on pretty fast. This will not be a problem for most people but it is for me as I can't step high or fast. On the other hand it is only 1 and one 4th inch high and very wide, easy to see the weight. So it is a good option for many people with joint or other problems and heavy people. Am not sure of how high it weighs but that should be on amazon. I got it on coupon, it is expensive, but i think it may be designed for doctors offices.If i could i would rate it a bit more than 4 stars, but not five because of how fast you need to get on after tapping.
