I bought these because they were the only 1/2" stencils I saw, but I am very disappointed with them. They are made of cardboard, which is not a very resilient medium to begin with. The stampings are poor on most of the letters, making it impossible to get them out without tearing the cardboard and ruining the stencil. Even when you can get them out, they leave little tufts of paper which interfere with a clean line on the letter. Finally, they do not lay flat if the surface you are stenciling is at all uneven because they are warped to begin with. You would do much better to buy a vinyl stencil which adheres to the item you are stenciling. It will provide much cleaner lines and allow for a much better outcome. See above pics for warping and tufts of tear residue which muddy the lines....

Worked well for our project, spray pained numbers into blacktop parking spaces. Little flimsy but being careful handling we didn’t have any problems.

Easy to use and great value but they aren’t super sturdy so be cautious when using them then store in a safe dry place.If you can be gentle they are perfect. I wouldn’t recommend for rough people or kids.

This stencils have a good size letters. The letters are clear to see and read. The only thing is the quality on the paper is a bit thin. I was expecting the paper to be thicker. I had to be very careful removing the precutted stencil excess from the letter specially on thin parts of the letter. You can easily damage it if you arent careful!

These 10 inch letter stencils worked out great for me to make a Happy Birthday lawn sign. When deciding on the size of the letter stencils. Be aware of the WIDTH of the sign along with the height. Using 10 inch letters, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" spelled out on two lines will require about 55-56 inches across. And about 24 inches high. The scrap piece of plywood I had in the garage was luckily the right size. I propped up the sign on a child size painting easel we had. And tied some balloons to it. Worked out great.

I purchased these for making life-sized alphabet blocks for a Toy Story birthday party. I found them easy to use; I traced the letter on to card stock to cut out. The cardboard they are made of is sort of thin, but I feel like I will get a decent lifespan out of them. Happy with my purchase.

It took me a while to figure out some of the letters. They are a little confusing at first because there are extra cardboard pieces to keep the letters intact because of the thin, lightweight material. I ended up using 1 copy of each on sturdier poster board and have used the sturdier copy when I want to trace more letters.

Each letter needs some cutting (we used an exacto knife) to reveal the opening. The paper is like regular cardstock and appears absorbent We needed them to outline letters we are handpainting The price was must reasonable for this purpose Oh And the first time we ordered them we received numbers instead of letters
