While the product does allow you to switch inputs with one remote, it is a labor intensive process to get to work. Also due to the size of the remote, it has a very limited range and must be used in a direct line of site fashion and can be misplaced or lost easily. The buttons on the remote are twitchy and not very responsive. Finally, the battery used is not readily available and mine was depleted soon after purchase! As a result, I have disconnected mine and will look else where for a better product!

Onlly issue is the switching is a tad slow and ports could of been made bigger to fit hdmi easier as it takes a tiny bit of effort to put it in smoothly

So the build quality is mixed for me. The edge is wrapped in what feels like metal, which is very nice, however the top and bottom are plastic. This is not a deal breaker for me, but just mentioning it. This is a nice and compact design and the metal is a dark gray which matches nicely with other components I have with the same finish.I'm using this switch plugged into a monitor with 1 hdmi input. so this allows me to use additional devices. I have a USB - C hub connecting a monitor to my Macbook air, and I use another input for a Roku box. It worked right out of the box with the Mac. No setup necessary. The Roku seemed to give me some trouble, at first. I was getting a little flicker, which could be from any piracy protection coming from the Roku. I decided to switch the Roku to a different HDMI input and it seemed to solve the issue. It does have a port to supply power to the device, however keep in mind that it uses micro usb cable and not USB C. Micro usb has become less common and it becomes a little inconvenient now that most devices are using USB C. So far, I haven't had to use the power supply. The remote is also nice to switch inputs from a distance.Overall, a nice, compact device with decent build quality and a remote. This is a solid pick.

This is a pretty nice switch all in all. It does what it says, supporting full 4K@60Hz and allowing you to switch between three different HDMI inputs using either the included credit card style remote (it has three buttons to allow direct access to any of the sources at any time) or a button on the device that cycles between settings. You’ll most assuredly want to use the IR remote unless you’re using this on a desk or something where it would be within easy reach - and the remote allowing for DIRECT switching (i.e., you can tell it to go to input 3 regardless of what input it’s on at the time) makes for much better support of things like the Harmony programmable remote.Picture quality is very good (I haven’t noticed any degradation or lag over having the source directly connected) and the device overall is very small - smaller than I expected as it’s basically only long enough to have the 4 HDMI ports it needs, which is a nice benefit of not taking up too much space in your setup. The switch is a bit light weight but that’s a factor of being small - since it’s not something you’re moving around a whole lot, I think it should still prove to be fairly durable in terms of working for a long time.Perhaps the only downside of the product is that the switch does take several seconds to change inputs - longer than I’m used to on my AV receivers which is a bit odd. That said, I’m using it to connect 3 video game systems to my TV in my game room, so it’s HIGHLY unlikely I’d be rapidly switching between inputs and this isn’t really something I’ll ever notice / that will ever bother me in my use case. Just something to note though in case your usage would have you rapidly switching.Overall, this is a good and cost effective way of connecting multiple 4K@60Hz sources to a single HDMI port on the TV/monitor and I can recommend it!

I recently purchased a LED TV backlight that synced with the action on the screen via a HDMI sync box. I like it so much that I wanted to have the same experience with my Fire Stick and game console to it. The problem is that all three units are connected via 3 separated HDMI ports. I either had to purchase 2 additional HDMI sync boxes or manually switch the cable to the HDMI sync box each time I wanted to watch something on another platform. This HDMI switch was the answer. I connected the 3 units to this switch and the output to the HDMI sync box, then to the TV. Now I am enjoying the effects from the HDMI sync box on each platform with just a simple press of a button on the switch box or its remote. At the front of the switch box, there are…1. ON/OFF button which is used to cycle between each ports.2. 5 LED lights for 3 input ports, 1 output port and POWER3. Infra Red sensor for the remote. The switch box is self sensing, so it knows which ports are connected to a device, and will skip the unused port when cycled at the switch or ignored on the remote.A USB-C power cable is included, but in my case, not necessary; it’s drawing enough power via the connected HDMI cables for the infra red sensor to function.
