These could’ve been best filters available because they have a plastic reinforcing strip that keeps the filters shape when wet. The official air care replacement filters do not have any reinforcing it's so after a couple of weeks they can start to get water logged and sag. First the filters for too long but I was able to cut them down to the size of the filter they're supposed to replace but the reason I gave it to stars it's because they started to smell mildewy after only seven days. The air care of filters sometimes only last three weeks but usually the last five before they start developing any kind of an odor but seven days is unacceptable too bad because the design is Superior to the air care filters

I’m so happy I found these filters for my air care humidifier. These replaced the air careHDC411 filters I have been using. The last filters I used seemed fine when I put them in, but after they have been in for a while, they fell into the water chamber. They just fell apart. These have a double band to help them retain their shape, which my husband immediately noticed and commented on. Within a very short amount of time of installing these new filters, my humidity in my basement climbed from 29 to 36. And I’m talking a huge 24‘ x 60‘ room! The humidifier is now putting out 4.5 to 5 gallons in 24 hours. It hasn’t done that good since we started running the humidifier this season. The cost is about the same as the HDC411 brand-name filters, but the retention bands have gained my loyalty. I’ve only been using them for a few days, but so far, I’m thrilled!

Despite the fact that this showed up at the top of the list of filters that would fit a Kenmore 154200 humidifier, the filters are about 3 inches too long. A close look at the description says they fit model 15420. So buyer beware. Amazon’s search used to be so much better. Now all kinds of random things show up. I was able to cut them down and retrofit them (had to cut the strips that hold the many layers together to get it to bend enough to set them fully into the unit.) It’s probably easier to get the Kenmore replacements in the first place.

I love my Aircare humidifier, but I usually go through a couple of sets of wicks every season because our water has so many minerals in it, and the wicks get hard and don't retain moisture anymore. I decided to try these because they were a little cheaper than the ones I normally purchase, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that these have two plastic braces attached on each side of each wick so that it holds its shape. Time will tell if the braces stay attached to the paper of the wick after they've been in the water tank for awhile, but the braces definitely made it easier to insert the wicks into the grooves of the humidifier tank.The heat is running all the time right right now, so the humidifier is running all the time, and these wicks are working great so far as I have going through buckets of water at a pretty fast clip.

I love this four-pack of filters - works well in our AirCare (note: double-check your product size, as these filters don't work for the larger AirCare units like 1403 filters. Go by what the product listing here states!). I love having three extras on hand, and really appreciate the price per unit. I don't think there was a noticeable difference between the filter that originally came with my unit and these replacements, so I would definitely order these again.
