We ordered this to keep a check on my husband’s hemoglobin because it was extremely low. It is easy to use and accurate. The main thing to remember is to keep the strips in an airtight container. And place them in the reader correctly.

I purchased this product to monitor my hemoglobin in between lab draws. As another reviewer mentioned, I got 3 totally different results after 3 tests done one after the other. This certainly doesn't inspire confidence in the accuracy of the readings!Customer service, however, is excellent: the lancing device snapped in two when I tried to open it. I contacted the company which suggested I purchase a new lancing device here in the US as shipping costs from China would be too high. I replied that I felt the device was defective and it should be replaced by the company at its expense. A new lancing device is on its way.

This product worked as advertised. I can't claim to know that it is 100% accurate to what the doctor would measure but it appears to be accurate. I should have read all of the instructions first as I opened both test strip containers and they say to throw out any after 3 months. I doubt I will use all 75 in that time frame.

I require close monitoring of my Hemoglobin due to medication that I take and usually just go and give blood every 8 weeks. I have had issues with my iron lately and unless my Hemoglobin is over 16, I try and not give as my iron gets too low. I ordered this item as it appeared to be an easy testing unit for my Hemoglobin that I could use at home with little cost once the unit was bought. I ordered one unit and it did take longer than the advertised delivery date to arrive by about a week or so, but these items are shipped from China so expect a delay when ordering. Once I received the item, I tried to turn it on, but I kept getting an error code on the screen as soon as it was turned on. I contacted customer service via email and after trying several things, they shipped me a new unit, rush deliver - took less than a week for the new item to arrive. The new unit works as described and fI have used it a half dozen times and it reads accurately or as accurately as I can tell. My wife used it and she had blood work done the next day with the item showing results that were within .5 of her actual lab tested results. If I can get results like that, it will be easy to only need to give blood when needed instead of every 8 weeks.Info:I am type O+ and would love to give every 8 weeks if I could, but they always have issues hitting my veins and I end up getting stuck 3 or 4 times with them jamming it in and then moving it around while inside. It’s bad enough that I am usually out of commission for a couple days after with my arm hurting so bad. If there was an easy way to give that didn’t hurt me so much in the process, I am retired now and worked 32 years to protect and serve and its nice to still be able to do a little bit for those in need when I can.

I tested 3 times in a row with 3 very different numbers. One being 9.2, then 8.1, and finally a 7.1.I'm not so sure it's accurate
