WIDE ANGLE OPTICAL SYSTEM

Model 12 227 the XB30 COMPACT 2-8×36 SR has a wide-angle optical system for a wide field of view and a 30mm mono-tube chassis for superior strength. It comes with a glass-etched illuminated XB30 COMPACT SR reticle, suitable for bow speeds from 250 fps through to 475 fps. It is designed with aim points from 20 -100 yards with 5-yard marks. The 10-yard aim points incorporate windage bars and dots to compensate for 10 mph and 20 mph crosswinds. For accurate reticle calibration, it has a locking speed adjuster.

A rheostat on the saddle offers 5 levels of brightness of red or green illumination. Quick and accurate zero is achieved with crossbow specific, positive click ½ MOA turrets, protected from the elements with a sealed turret cap.

Very clear, bought the KI Instinct first, no go for me, Vortex wasn’t clear enough for these old eyes. Grandsons got some decent scopes, but the Hawke was the best, got one on my 10/22 also

Gave it 5 stars because I really like the clarity but but ,, Vortex is less cluttered and lights up the yardage where Hawke lights up the Christmas tree reticles but not the yardage which is kind of annoying,, in low light shots you have to count from the 40 yd down or the 100 yd up whichever is easier ,,also should have the option to dim down a few more notches so as to not blind you when very low light ,,which I think vortex may have done a little better ,,overall its a keeper for the better clarity and quality of optic that it is !!!ps:: Mounted on R 20 Ravin 425 fps ..

Good luck making out the reticle. The focus is not adjustable. So the reticle will be blurry with your glasses and sharp without. I don’t know about you, but I have to wear my glasses for everything.

The eye relief is too close. I cannot get a full picture unless my eye is real close to the lense. I need to try out another scope just to see if it is me. I'm close enough to get smacked in the eyebrow when I shoot the crossbow. So you know how close that is.It's easy to sight in, but seems to have a hard time holding zero. I have had to sight it in more than once. Not sure if I knocked it off zero or the mounts loosened up. It has lost zero more than once. The last time I took it off and reseated it to make sure it was sitting right on the rail. Checked the tightness and re-sighted it in. Seems ok so far. About 20 arrows through it since.

This is my 7th Hawke optic and I am once again very satisfied. The factory scope on my crossbow broke after 6 years of use and the only decision for me was which Hawke to purchase. I highly recommend this bow scope and all other Hawke optics. Incredible features and quality for the price point.

Was beyond excited to get off work today to come home and mount this scope which showed up today. Upon opening I first noticed the foam pieces that hold the scope were not in the correct spots. Next I noticed the lens cloth was not in the plastic bag it was supposed to be in. Yeah that's right not done yet. Looked into the scope and SRATCHES on the lens covers clear as day in summer. This is a USED scope. Came on to try and fix this issues and wow!!! 2 days ago I paid $259 for this scope and now its listed for $230. I really hope the scope is far better then the seller!!!!
