Ended up returning this. Hard to handle. It was difficult to keep it in one spot (albeit I was working in a very tight space). Ended up getting something at the local hardware store that is US-made.

This tool works good. The only thing that would make it better is a video showing how to use. Once you lock it in place you have to keep twisting the tool around the pole and that’s how it cuts.

I needed a small pipe cutter for 1/2 inch copper pipe, and I didn't want the clumsy type you have to keep retensioning the blade on the pipe. This device was exactly what I was looking for. I was replacing my shut off valves and my pipes are pretty close to the wall, like 2 inches, so many pipe cutters would not fit. This self adjusting cutter worked great. Just place your pipe inside of the opening, and rotate it around the pipe in the direction of the arrow clearly marked on the body of the cutter, and it makes a nice cut. They have other sizes too, but this one is for 1/2 inch pipe which is 0.625 inches outer diameter (OD for short).

I brought this as a replacement to a similar one from a different manufacturer. Same shape but that one clamped down on the pipe. This one slots in. A bit difficult to move if you don't get the exact spot that you want. But it's still a keeper

i wanted a pipe cutter that was small but able to do both 10mm and 15mm it seemed expensive to buy 2 of those pacman shaped auto cutters because they only do fixed sizes. found this and its ideal for both sizes and anything in-between! its smaller than your average pipe cutter works well on 10mm and 15mm pipe even though it may take longer to cut than those auto cutters but i can live with that. sized perfectly just the right size for the job especially when you are cutting in tight quarters. highly recommend!

Worked great on cutting down lengths of pipe to install. Was a little hard to use to remove already installed piping, but got me into places that a traditional cutter with a screw mechanism couldn't fit.

I was cutting a T out of a copper pipe and replacing it with a sharkbite, so I needed to make a few cuts. I practiced cutting with a spare piece of pipe, then got the T out with two cuts. I realized the gap was too small and I needed slightly more room to effectively splice in, so tried to make more, but the cutter kept spinning and spinning but doing nothing. It seemed like the spring had perhaps come loose somehow and wasn't providing enough pressure against the pipe. I tried pushing the spring back, to no avail, then worked to take apart the cutter to replace the blade or reset the spring position, but the screws easily stripped out and were very difficult to remove. I gave up and bought a manual cutter from Ridgid, which worked great. This device was awesome for a couple cuts... but that was it.

I'm a DIYer, so I don't need to spend lots of money on professional tools, however, I still want something that will work properly and not create additional work for me. As soon as I received this tool I tested it on some scrap copper pipe and it cut it perfectly square and very quickly. I saw some comments that stated they didn't think this was a solid tool. Maybe they received something different, but the tools I got were hefty and solid.

It's to big to use on 25mm copperTo small for 32mm.Might work on gas pex etc but haven't tried that yet.
