They don't feel like a good match for me. I don't know if my knees are wrong shape? Too big ? Or something else. But they were constantly slipping down. Annoying as heck.Sure when i was standing in one place, they also stayed in place. When came to walking and running, they felt very loose and I was all the time fixing them into place. If I would tighten them up more, then in kneeling position, straps would be cutting into skin. But they do feel very comfortable when you're kneeling with them. Used them them recently on very uneven and rocky surface. Going fast into kneeling position and shooting felt very good. Just with walking and running really not good. I will use them for some work around house that require me being low. But for something more, not a good match for me.

Use these for airsoft games (old guy with bad knees) and they work well. They do not slip down my legs while moving fast.

i’m in construction for nearly a decade, have to use knee pads for some terrain (crawlspace, often times you want to kneel) and i disliked those home depot bought pads, seemingly they are made for some very fat knees, they would never stay on correctly, required adjusting all the time, to the point it was a hassle to use them. these are infinitely better in that they stay in place, are just the right size for a regular, slim person, they are not too bulky, don’t slide to sides or up & down, and don’t leave discomfort, or sore skin, i can wear them for hours and practically almost forget that they’re on. best pair i’ve had, i’m not so certain about their durability yet, have used in rough terrain for 3 days only. but if they survive 3 months of rough job sites, i’m certain to buy the exact same pair when (if) i go through them.

This product seems well constructed but based on the Hatch name fools alot of ppl. Having been 32yrs in tactical situations I have worn many styles of knee pads. THESE ARE THE WORST.Plastic outer protection is molded in a knee bent configuration and has zero flex. When kneeling it feels like kneeling on 2 baseball's and has the weeble wobble effect.Walmart sells betterIf your looking for all round knee pads for various applicationsStay clear of these.

These are really great kneepads for airsoft and other sports. I've had kneepads before some uncomfortable and some poorly made and break after 1-2 matches in Airsoft but these are genuinely great kneepads, I've slid across dirt and rocks in them and no damage nor problems with feeling uncomfortable will doing it. Takes a little adjustment to get them to the way you want them but that perfectly fine. 10/10

I have smashed more kneepads then I can count. I've blown the straps clean off several pairs, I've crushed the knee protection so that it shatters. I've tried using soft kneepads but when you take a knee while moving they tend not to offer enough protection. Heavier duty kneepads tend to slip around a lot so even though they offer good protection when you hit the ground they might not be where you need them to be.These kneepads are fantastic. I haven't managed to destroy any piece of them with regular use of the last several months. Straps and plastic bit over the knee are doing fine. They don't significantly encumber me while running and tend to do a good job of actually being over my knee when I need them to be. Finally done looking for the right pair of kneepads. These are them.

Nice pads. I grew tired of the local stores' offerings of 'hook and loop' straps. The rivet head connectors on these pads will not fail. The straps are adjustable, and offer static support, as being crossed at the back of the knee, slipping will not occur. I am a larger guy (6'3") and would like to have these a little longer and wider, but that's just a personal preference. I've had knee operations and these certainly help lessen the pains of daily work. Solidly built, does not mar the existing hard flooring (if you're installing new flooring) and dry out in a decent amount of time (if working in the rain).

I've used a set of the black XTAKs for over a year. This was daily use while perched atop a dirtbike, crawling across dirt and through heavy brush, getting into the water, and running around like a fool and they've held up very, very well. Aside from the caps looking pretty beat up, they still perform as if brand new. The elastic is strong, the clips are secure, and the caps don't wiggle. I bought another set of the OD greens to have a pair in reserve though I don't expect to ever really need them since the black set seems to be built like a tank. They're low profile, comfortable, and after the elastic breaks in, I don't have any irritation issues where it binds around the back of my leg.I dinged it one star because while at the range and I drop to a kneeling stance, I wobble because there's not really a flat "platform" to rest your knee on while kneeling. It's far less stable than going with your knee alone, but with an ACL replacement on each knee, I need to use something when I hit the ground. Maybe it's the way I wear them and how they fit on my leg, I don't know, but I have to spend valuable time finding stability when I should be shooting. If you spend a ton of time at the range and kneeling is an important part of that, I might look for some shooter specific pads, but for general use, you just can't get better than these.Oh, a last disclaimer: though I wear these as my sole leg protection while on a dirtbike, they're not going to be of much use during a crash. They do, however, do a great job of protecting your knees from the brush when you're navigating the tight stuff. I'd wear normal MX armor, but this was a compromise I had to make between protection on the bike and mobility on the ground.
