Your cart is empty. Tell pesky parasites to ‘bug off’ with the Hartz UltraGuard Plus Orange Reflective Flea & Tick Collar for Dogs & Puppies. This bright orange collar kills and repels both fleas and ticks on pups with necks up to 22 inches for 7 months, and also prevents flea eggs from hatching for over half the year - stopping the flea life cycle and inhibiting reinfestation. The water resistant design remains effective even after getting caught in the rain. Additionally, the Reflect-X Shield reflects direct light for up to 300 feet for an added dimension of nighttime safety. For continuous flea and tick protection from head to tail, replace the collar every 7 months. For use on puppies 12 weeks of age and older.
Directions: Remove collar from package, unroll and stretch to activate insecticide generator. Do not use on puppies under 12 weeks of age. Do not unroll collar until ready to use. Place the collar around the dog’s neck, adjust for proper fit and buckle in place. The collar must be worn loosely to allow for growth of the dog and to permit the collar to move about the neck. Generally, a properly fitted collar is one that, when fastened, will snugly slide over the dog’s head. Leave 2 or 3 inches on the collar for extra adjustment and cut off and dispose of the extra length. Consult a veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, aged or medicated pets. Sensitivity may occur after using any pesticide product for pets. Some animals may become irritated by the collar if it is applied too tightly. If this occurs, loosen the collar. If irritation continues, remove the collar and bathe your dog with mild soap and rinse with large amount of water. If signs continue, consult a veterinarian immediately. Do not use this product on dogs simultaneously or within 30 days before or after treatment of other flea and tick products. However, flea and tick collars may be replaced immediately.

Being surrounded by open fields and thick woods in the middle of no where, I wasn't expecting this to be the best of the best or last longer than a month. But after 6 months of rolling in the long grass multiple times a day and walking through woods, she didn't get a single flea, tick or rash. Definitely recommend this!

I have bought this product multiple times butI change it on my dog every three months, not seven. In my experience it’s not effective past that time.

When I received it, I was a bit disappointed that most of the reflective strip spontaneously pealed away and there was a lot of powdery residue on the band. However, installation was very simple and the bright neon pink band provides quite good visibility. So far my dog has had it on for more than a month. There have been no issues with any adverse reactions or no sighting of any parasite - flea or tick. I think this is priced reasonably and performs as required.

The product is HORRIBLE.. The entire bank is cracked and stripe is removed stick to the other side, it is dangerous for a dog. Totally NOT acceptable

I read a lot of good reviews on this, and expected it to be at least a decent product. The fact is this is just an overpriced crappy collar that does nothing.Both my dogs, a Malamute and a stratfordshire, I've been wearing their colors for eight days.They pretty much stay inside except for when I let them out to play in the yard, which is pretty much tick-free at my place.We just went on a hike in Mammoth cave national Park, when we got back to the house both my dogs were covered in ticks.I pulled 57 ticks off my stratfordshire, four of which were latched on to him right next to the collar. My malamute only had 21 ticks on him, I attribute the lesser amount to his thicker fur.These collars did absolutely nothing to stop ticks from getting on two different docs.

Worked very well. I used this collar with my 3 mo. old Cocker Spaniel. It did not stop the fleas completely, but did noticeably reduce them. She also didn't get any ticks where a Mini Schnauzer in the same area without a collar picked up a few. For $6, compared to the other brands, I can't complain. The $40 collar, which I sure works better, was too much at the time. This is a good enough collar if $40 is too much.
