This set is really well made and honestly I wasn't expecting that. The weight and simple use is appealing. I do feel like the product is made for a professional more than me the amateur, but I do like it and hope I get a long life out of this set...I think I will, b ut may need some training ion how to properly use it for a variety of things...my uses have been simple and they have worked with ease and no issue...I think these do a whole lot more than what I have done too.

I do a lot of DIY repair work, also macro photography and occasional fly tying. There have been many times I’ve needed to get a grip on something tucked into a tight space where needle nose pliers just won’t penetrate or where tweezers just aren’t strong enough. Alligator forceps are ideal for this purpose. They will also be helpful when arranging very tiny photoshoots or tying small flies. This pair offers a good grip and a small profile. The finish seems a bit rough for a piece of medical equipment but a non-issue for me since I don’t need to sterilize it. The tweezers include with this kit also have a small profile and good gripping surface. I don’t have much use for the loops but I expect I’ll repurpose them somehow.Full Disclosure: I acquired this as a Vine user. I ordered this set for my model-making needs, and it serves its purpose well. The Hartman Alligator and tweezers are of decent quality for my work. However, I won't be using the Ear Loop rods. Caution would be advised if this set is considered for medical use. While the alligator tool is well-made, I observed some residual debris between the arms, and the rest of the set lacks precision in manufacturing, requiring some finishing tweaks.
