I have a small motor with a 6 mm D-shaft driving a pulley via a 4 mm polyurethane round belt. This was exactly what I needed to do that. It fits the shaft without slop and the two grub screws keep it secure. This pulley has a nice smooth surface finish, but that actually isn't what I want in order to maximize the grip on the belt. I used a Dremel with a narrow wire brush to scuff up the groove to give it a little more grip.
