Cheap collars will do for non tolerance required applications. Sharp edges could cause scratches on polished rams. Recommend filing a chamfer. Wouldn't recommend for steady repeated actions of hydraulic cylinders where steady compressions happen. Bolts will work loose after time. Needs thread lock to keep tight.

These 1.25 inch split stainless shaft collars are okay. They weigh about 120 grams each.They work. They're not like what you see in the photos though. The collars I received are significantly more dinged up, scratched, etc. They have many sharp edges.After machining and tapping the holes for the screws, the collars were "cleaned up" on a grinder. It's very rough finish and makes me feel like these are very poor quality.That said, these are also the lowest priced 1.25 inch stainless shaft collars I could find on Amazon.
