I bought this thinking that this was a carbon fiber case. It is not! It is a thermo-plastic case with a 3k carbon weave look finish. The handle failed within 2 months of purchasing it for my daughter. The handle is fastened to the case with cheap thin rivets. All 4 of them failed and the handle broke off. I contacted the seller, they wanted pictures. For whatever reason I was not able to upload the pictures neither through my Amazon app or the website. The seller refused to send me a return label for the failed violin case. They did send another handle, that took about 3 weeks to arrive from China. The replacement handle mounts with screws, but you better be mechanically inclined to install them, and have the right tools as well, because without ripping out the pad from the case that supports the body/neck connection of the violin, you need a long shaft screwdriver and have to do some contorted movement to line up the screw to the handle bracket. Anyway, it's an OK case, minus the fact that the headline of the ad is an outright LIE stating that it is carbon fiber, and customer service is shabby at best.I installed the replacement handle and put blue Loctite on the screws. Should last, hopefully. I give it 2 stars due to the headline being an outright lie, the handle being installed with weak parts that failed and customer service not acknowledging to the fact that the product had failed.
