I bought these porcelain rests for resting knifes so the tablecloth wouldn’t get stained with food. They are perfect in size, bright white and very smooth. Delivery was extremely prompt and the knife/chopstick rests were very well packed. I would definitely order from this vendor again

The quality of the product is fine. However it should be said that the quantity is actually 4 and not 6.

These knife rests are attractive in the photo but the actual product quality is lacking. I had ordered 3 sets and a third of them were chipped or mishapened, so they were returned. The glazing is uneven. I thought they were made in Japan because of the clean simplistic design and was disappointed to see such poor quality. But upon closer examination of the label, they are actually from China.

Pros: Satisfied with the product, made in China, no major unsightly flaws in the porcelain, decent finish, they all sit flat on your table, is stable and functional as a knife or chopstick rest (approx. 2 1/2 in long & 3/4 in wide).Cons: That aside, the shipping packaging was terrible. The fragile porcelain rests were all loose, wrapped together in tissue paper, put into a small bubble wrap pouch then slipped into an oversized poorly padded envelope. No box, protective padding or partitions to keep each of the porcelain rests separated so they won't slam into each other during shipment. It was a miracle that none of the rests arrived chipped or cracked. Good luck if yours is shipped in the same manner!

These works well with both western and eastern style silverware or chopsticks. These store compactly when not used. Their simple shape lends them to ease of cleaning as well.
