It's very cheap (quality), but it's also very cheap ($). It's smaller than you might expect - sized for a child. I'm using it as a prop and it's met my expectations.

Handle is a little flimsy so I reccomend taping it up before training. For a Halloween prop it's great, but for Martial Arts Training not so much.

Served it's purpose for the 30 seconds it was onstage for 5 rehearsals and 3 performances... after I tossed the three-piece screw-together handle away. It was flimsy and sad at first.I got a broom handle from the dollar store, and put the scythe on that instead. Had to hot glue, since the threading wasn't quite right.But for eight 30 second uses after that, it was fine. The price was right for my purposes.

Make sure you get this item on sale or something. The place where the sythe attaches to the handle is so flimsy it won't hold up to being played with at all. My son was so worried he was going to break it he doesn't play with it much anymore.

Cheaply made. But what's worse is that I was sent 2 END PIECES as part of the 3 rods. So this scythe is now very short. Thankfully I bought it for a child's costume. I wouldn't recommend this purchase. I don't even want to waste my time sending back such a cheap item.

The Happy Hippo Grim Reaper Scythe Prop has proven to be the ultimate accessory to complete my Grim Reaper costume. This faux scythe blade with its adjustable handle was nothing short of perfect. I was able to use this for my costume and I will be keeping it for my sons costume this Halloween. I can just remove one of the sections that makes up the staff and it will be a perfect size for him. 2 birds 1 scythe!
