works great so far. It requires a strong drill to run it though.

The drill bit itself is crimped onto the shaft. If drilling through thicker material, it will break off, leaving the bit in the wood and you with a useless shaft. Do not buy.

Drilled through 2 2x4 headers to run 14/2 romex. Drilled through the wood with no resistance, then was able to use the holes in the bit to pull my romex through. Very happy with this bit.

Used this tool to make hole for the Pot light wire in the leaving room to go through the wooden beams. The item is sharp enough to make holes but.1. Does not bend 90 or 45 degrees. I would say Max 30-35 degrees bendable.2. One really has to press it down so it does not go through the ceiling. I would say make one hole on the beam and then make the other holes through another beam and then fish the wiresYou cannot go through several beam else you will go through the ceiling.Above are the reasons for 3 Stars

Which I knew these existed before I tried to add wiring in the house. Put a hole in the kitchen ceiling after days of trying. Got this great flexible drill bit and had the correct hole made in about 5 minutes. Great buy and will be using it for another 4 projects.

I used this to run a low voltage wire under a sidewalk in between rock beds. Reviews that say it is not flexible. I have to say. You need to put a lot of pressure in order to make that bend and keep constant pressure on the drill in order to keep the run going straight through so it doesn’t angle downward.Either way the bit is very sturdy and need some strength to keep a 90degree bend.

It’s a nice tool if u don’t need to flex it. Not flexible.

Can drill through cross members or studs in finished walls for retrofit wiring. Good option instead of opening up finished walls and economical too.

It did what I needed it for. I had to sharpen it before using it to drill through Plywood.

I tried this drillbit it is really good to grab on to the joist with the screwed tip. However I don't see it to be as flexible as some of the images that show it doing a 45 or even 90 degree bend to drill on other joists. It is bendy to an extent. Because it is not rigid, the holes wont line up straight and pulling the wires become a bit of a pain.
