Easy to assemble and very sturdy and stable. I have it loaded with 6 boards, a combination of wakeboards and kitesurfing boards.

broke as soon as an 10' and 8' board were mounted. Easy to assemble. Easy to mount to the wall. Holds no weight at all.

Our son is an avid surfer. With any passion, the collection begins. He started with a short board and added in a long board. Surf boards whether long short are actually all LONG in my book! Haha. The solution up until now has been to store these standing on en behind his bedroom door (thankful for tall ceilings!) About a month ago he took a class in Maine to build his own wood longboard. It's absolutely gorgeous-but, wow! It takes up so much space. Adding a third board behind his door was getting ridiculous. When I spotted this rack system, I jumped on it. It is a fabulous solution!! The boards are up off the floor with no toppling, slipping or sliding. While it is definitely a commitment of wall space, it actually becomes more of an artwork installation, than just serviceable storage. His newest, wooden board was of course very expensive, and now it can be safe and protected in this rack. The craftsmanship that went into the design is really well thought out with attention to detail that makes it aesthetic, but also secure. The mounting instruction are straightforward and should allow it to be moved to a new location should that ever become a thing. I think this is definitely an excellent solution and would recommend it.

Crafted from sustainable wood, the Hang rack offers a sturdy and reliable support system for surfboards, paddleboards, or wakeboards. The durable construction ensures your boards remain securely mounted while adding a warm and natural look to your garage, studio, or display area. Its horizontal design is particularly noteworthy, allowing for an effortless fit of various board sizes without compromising space efficiency. What truly impressed me was the simplicity of the installation process. The clear instructions made it easy to mount the rack, and within minutes, my boards were neatly organized and displayed. The thoughtful padding in the design also ensures that the boards are protected from scratches or damage, keeping them in pristine condition.

I really like the surf rack. It is made of solid wood, includes all the components needed to hang this on drywall or in a stud, and it looks elegant. The racks can be hung vertically, which works better in my space. I considered modifying the arms to stick out perpendicular to the backboard (looks like they used a spade drill to fashion the pre-drilled holes at an angle) but the orientation actually makes getting the boards out more convenient for a corner. Apologies for the limited ability to capture this perspective on photos. Some reviewers noted that the wooden poles have a tendency to split, so I hand tightened them with medium force (Pinky tight, and an extra quarter turn). No issues with stability or with any cracks so far. Due to the length of the arms, there is a little bit of bounce to them at the ends. Perhaps, this could be improved with a thicker diameter arm on the next version. The other suggestion for improvement are the wooden nubs that stick inside holes to hide the screws. They are a bit too small to stay in.None of these are deal-breakers; the quality, the padding, the heft of the wood, all the included accessories make it clear that this company is proud of this product and spent a good deal of time designing it.

This rack is fairly well made, has finished wood, and the board hanging bars are covered with foam rubber. The Wood is soft, but finished so less likely to be damaged by dripping water. Holes are drilled in right places, and the holes for the hanging bars are angled so the bars come up at about a 10degree angle from the wall.Hanging bars have metal screw thread inserts, and their foam-rubber coating is angle-cut to match the angle they'll mount into the wall brackets.More hardware than necessary was included. See pics for what I had left over at end.Though it includes anchors for drywall, probably better to screw this directly into the studs behind the drywall.Nice that included the wooden caps to cover the screw-holes, but be sure to apply some glue (elmers is fine) to their underside to keep them in place. All in all, a nice rack.

Comes with really nice installation hardware and a complimentary wax comb, nice touch. I love the finish of the wood, it's very well done. Even included are wood caps to go over the screw holes, so this thing is ready to look good and finished in any room. Installing into a stud for one, and drywall for the other was simple enough with the included hardware.I did run into some issues when I first went to load this rack, and that made some flaws with the design apparent. I was a little heavy-handed trying to toss up a wakeboard on the top rungs, and when I did, they gave way. I took the whole thing down to evaluate and the rods had split. What's holding each rod onto the baseplate is a steel machine-screw thread insert made for wood, screwed into in the end of the rod. The machine screw goes through the base plate and into that insert to hold the rod on. This design is relying on the interface between that insert, which is only about 3/4" long, and the wooden rod to handle all the loads from the weight of the boards on the rods. I found that the rods had split, making this flaw apparent. If the thread inserts were longer, or if they were big long wood screws instead of a thread insert, this might not have been an issue. I used some Tite-bond wood glue and fixed the splits, then proceeded to wood glue all the rods in as the rack was reassembled.I recommend gluing the rods to add strength in as you assemble.I've got the rack loaded up now, with 4 wakeboards and 1 surfboard. Using the rack is straightforward, but be gentle when you put boards on. There is a weight limit for each rung, and I think it wasn't intended to hold heavier wakeboard + bindings, so I'm being extra careful with it.
