it was a really sturdy material. Very sleek and cool! But getting the key sleeve on the keychain ring was a struggle. And I don't think this would apply to everyone, but I got this for my 2012 Nissan Sentra car key. The very impressive leather material for the sleeve seemed to be blocking the chip in the key head from being read. So my key wouldn't turn in the ignition.

I loved the concept of this, because my truck key had broken off the chain. It has a chip in it, so getting it duplicated is too spendy for our budget. We received it in the mail pretty promptly.My husband put the key into its holder (key cap) and then handed me the key ring part to attach it to. He ended up ripping two of his nails, and when I tried to put them on the ring, I ripped three of mine. It took using a butterknife and some maneuvering to get it on there. He said "this thing isn't coming off."I had an emergency call and jumped into my truck one morning. My key couldn't click all the way into the ignition. I tried several times... the faux leather was too thick. So I had to run inside and cut the leather key cap off so I could just go back to using my broken key to make it to where I needed to go.Worst Amazon purchase so far and first review out of a decade. I just want people to know not to waste their money. Very sad this purchase didn't work.

Received this item in brown today. The function of the item seems fine and the production value for durability seems ok. However the color of the item was no where near what was displayed on the sales page. The key holder and lanyard were a very, very light tan. I will say that after the application of some hand distressing, shoe polish and neatsfoot oil I ended up with something akin to what the product picture was.
