Sure, it's loud, it's also inconvenient as hell. You can't use it for quick signalling, multiple blasts to get attention, etc. You get one short blast for each pump. Great if you are worried about never having another air horn after the world ends, or something, but terrible for common uses.

I got this to help deter black bears where we live as there’s been a mama and cub hanging out between us and our neighbors house. They haven’t ventured into either of our yards yet but have gone down the neighbors driveway a couple times. They have a large dog that has barked enough to make them scoot on along and into the woods across the road so I’m hoping this will do the same should they venture any closer to us.It’s pretty loud and startled me a bit even though I was aware to expect it. The can is larger than I expected, it’s sturdy overall and easy to grab when needed and won’t get lost easily.We decided to keep it right by our door so it’s handy when we go out should we need it. Also absolutely taking this when we go camping as we dispersed camp and have seen bears around there too. Really glad to have this as some added protection as most bears want nothing to do with humans unless there’s food around and they’re hungry enough. We always keep our food away from our tent area and never in the tent and keep a clean camp in general but you just never know. We’re invading their space after all. I’m not one to say, “Hey bear. Hey bear.” if I see one. Oh no. I’m acting ubber loud and boastful and stern and saying, “YOU GET OUT!!! Go!!!” and this added horn blast will be blasted afterwards. I want them to not be curious for one second! I want them to think, what the heck! I’m outta here - this thing is nuts and means business! Haha. But seriously.Anyways this horn is perfect and I’m really glad to have it on hand. (Along with bear spray just in case!)I definitely recommend! Just be careful no one is right in front of it when you blast it cuz they may get a tad upset at ya. It’s nice and loud.

This pump horn makes real loud noise. It is better to be used outdoor because of that. The assembly is much easier than I expected. The build doesn't look or feel cheap so I would assume the quality is at least on par with the mainstream. This little toy should be a must-have for the outdoor exploration.

I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised at how effective this airhorn was in doing what it is supposed to do... Oh, and it does not used compressed air cans for the noise, but a simple hand pump!!!!! I am not sure whether dropping it in the water would compromise the horn, but if you keep it dry, it will work forever!

Easy to set up. Very loud!! Easy to use! Great for if you need to alert people. Good thing to add to a safety kit.

This horn is loud and sufficient to get attention. We do not know the true capacity of the horn (we haven’t used it enough) but it works really well for what he have used it for

I like these handheld pump air horns that don't need cans of compressed air. They meet USCG requirements for my boat and this one is plenty loud enough! It also works great as a very loud noise maker! I think it's a better value than the canned air type air horns.

Air horn that will last a long time! You pump the air and then release the air-- and boy is it loud. You can take the air horn part off to store it-- and it is easy to set up and use.Very please and great for pranking!
