I usually use tombows but wanted to try these. They're pretty decent, and nice to write with, but the fine tip pen was completely dried out (can see in the photo, I tested all the pens on some scrap and this one barely made any marking. Took the ink cartridge out and it seems totally dried stiff)Aside from that, it's a nice set, and it comes with a case and small black string pouch

As a western artist I'm so used to pens having little numbers on them coordinating with tip size. These are exactly as pictured -- so the only way to tell the difference is by the Chinese characters. Not a big deal for me, but for those of you with lesser patience, be warned lol

They are just perfect, smooth and sharp, ink isn’t dry, very easy to use. But a bit pricey.

These are fiber tipped, not actual brushes. Nice that they are refillable and has a good stroke. I didn't realize there were three of the same size, but I'm sure that will be useful to most. I use them for drawing and not calligraphy on a coated stock paper, so experiment with them.

Finally something waterproof! They flow so nicely. I use them for the line art in my watercolor and marker work. Just make sure they dry before you use them.

I’ve been looking for some good, waterproof brush pens for a while now, and I gotta say these are an absolute dream. My particular favorite is the smallest one (it handles more like a nib than a brush) but all the pens work great. I haven’t tried refilling them with ink yet but I will update the review once I do. In the meantime, as a professional comic book artist, these are some of the best pens I’ve found. After now having used these pens for around a year, I still love them and find myself using them often, but they aren’t quite perfect. Everything I stated previously is still true, but after giving the pens some use, the tips have become more broad. The smallest pen which I loved for its wide range of line width can no longer do fine line strokes, and has become a med-broad pen after so much use. This is to be expected with any felt tipped pen, so be aware your mileage will vary. Filling the pens is simple but can get messy. Use gloves and DEFINITELY invest in an eye dropper for ink. Also make sure you follow the instructions found on the product page and don’t fill too full or your pens will leak. Speaking of ink, I use Platinum carbon black ink. It’s shellac free (this is a must for any refillable pen as shellac will clog and ruin your pens) but also waterproof. The bottom line is I adore these pens but because they won’t retain their fine line quality they had when I first got them, I’ll be dipping my toes back in to some nibs. These are still well worth the investment and I plan on using them in the future.
