I am using this hook for a climbing rope in our play room. I dont know what the max weight limit is, but I believe their 1000lbs figure. It is very beefy and held my wife and I on the rope without breaking a sweat.The hinge allows for swing and twist and both are smooth even under load.

I used this to hang a hammock chair to the under side of my deck so that I can watch the kids in the pool. The installation process was very easy - pre-drilled my hole w/ a 1/4" drill bit, then the lag screws went right in with no issue. The chair spins around freely and hasn't caught up on anything. It's a hit!

My 3 month old child and wife were on swing today. The bolt sheered completely off and they both went crashing to the ground. EXTREMELY dangerous situation. Total weight of about 130#'s and these state rated for 1000#'s. Very scary and we hope our child is not injured from the fall.

The main base fits exactly on the edge of a ceiling or roof joist. Determine where you want to install it, drill pilot holes then bolt it tightly in place. Connect your chain and hook up your swing chair. Easy install.
