Rope is great weight and good quality, have been using it with my horse to do some natural horsemanship, it gives me a nice amount of length to work with.

Decent lead. However, my horse stepped on it and it tore the rope sheath first time I used it. Would expect a horse lead to hold up from being stepped on.

I have had many of these over the years and love them. They are pricey but worth the money. Double as a short lounge line and nice for holding a horse while grazing.

This is a fantastic product. It is 10ft and lightweight. The hardware does not catch on the rope loop which is great for me. I use with blocker ties in trailer and barn and the slightly slimmer rope is ideal. Plus it comes in so many colors. lol

I really like the color and the weave of this lead rope. It is not too thick and not too thin and has good body.

This is a very nice lead rope for the price. It's strong and sturdy. I have a younger horse, and am able to lunge her very easily using this particular product. Highly recommend!

I just got the today and was really impressed when I opened it. I am getting a horse this summer so I am getting all that I need ahead. I don't like taking risks when shopping online but the reviews helped me say OK to this item and when It arrived I was impressed. First of all, this came a few weeks earlier, so I was glad about that! The bottom is not real leather but it is still great and does the job. The length is perfect. It's long but is great for ground work or whatever. The clip is very heavy duty and the rope itself is great quality. I am really impressed. *Don't let this comment change your mind about buying! The only thing I didn't love was how thick and big the top of the rope was that wrapped around the clip. That can be good in some cases though, especially if you have a draft or powerful stubborn horse. Haha. Overall, I LOVE this! Thanks!

My favourite style of lead rope! Its nice a long with a leather tail. I find it very useful for ground work and in the round pen. The rope is very easy to grip (not a slippery poly material) and of excellent weight. The braid/weave of the fabric is perfect, and I love the subtle hints of orange and yellow. I personally choose a rope halter, for added benefit while training. This would look and work great with a leather or nylon halter as well. The snap is sturdy and easy to clip on and off.

Excellent lead rope. The material is the same as the expensive ones. It slides slowly through the pull-through metal thing that you tie the horse to. Other lead ropes are too thin or too slick and slide through too easily. The leather tassle at the end is good for training. Overall, it's well-made and at a good price.

This is my second Hamilton Cowboy lead of this type. I'm pleased with the overall construction and materials. I wish the clip were a heavier brass with larger eye but it's easily switched out. 5 Stars - Recommended.UPDATE Even though my horse has chewed on the rope leaving it permanently kinked in places and the popper is mostly gone, the darn thing is still serviceable. I am waiting for the woven wrap to fray so I can justify replacing it with a new one. (I'm half hoping that's soon.)
