I think its pretty much as expected. I make cornish hens alot .my large airfryer was taking up space and my hens were always dry. I baked them today one by one in this toaster oven temp 350 just seasoning no oil. i was torn with broil or bake ,i did bake like an oven 1 hr .yummy.Photo is almost done but not yet.

Purchased this toaster oven as a gift for my daughter who just had her first child. She told me that she was not happy with the results. The toast, bagels, & English muffins burned even when different settings were attempted. She claimed that the door handle was very hot & was burned a few times when not utilizing an oven mitt. The glass door emitted a lot of heat, as well. There was no sound indication when the item was done being toasted.While visiting, we wanted to reheat some French fries left over from a meal using the air fryer. While cooking, I suddenly saw flames inside the oven & pulled the plug. Smoke filled the kitchen. The heat coil bar was blacked. When I waited to clean the interior for continued use, the heat coil remained burnt & we could no longer use the oven without smoke emanating from the oven. Customer service was contacted & they asked for all kinds of proof of purchase, etc. The my daughter was told to return the oven by shipping to manufacturer with shipping label provided.Box for appliance was discarded & my daughter put in enough demands wherein there was not a convenient way to return the oven with her newborn to care about.Not the best customer service.Please don’t buy this Hamilton Beach product.

Basic toaster oven that is easy to use and doesn't take too much space. Toast and air fry options work well.

This is a great toaster oven! We are now a family of 5, so when our (many years old) smaller toaster oven stopped working, we looked for a 6-slice toaster oven. We chose this one for several reasons. My husband likes that this has an air fry option, because he loves to make things like wings and onion rings which will be great in the air fryer. I like that it doesn't take up a lot of counter space like some of the other 6 slice toaster ovens on the market, and I absolutely *love* the roll top door! I have never seen that on a toaster oven, and it is great because that means you can put your plate right in front of the toaster oven to slide out hot food. Also, my toddler likes to stand right by the toaster oven when I am using it, and I always worried she would touch the door when I was removing food, but with the roll top it's out of her reach so that is no longer a concern! So far, we have used it for toast, frozen waffles, reheating pizza and making toasted sandwiches, all work great. Be aware that it takes a bit of time to burn off the "new toaster smell." We ran it through two 10-minute bake cycles at 450, and 2 toast cycles before we actually using it to cook any food. Be sure to open some windows, or even do the burn off outside on a porch/deck like we did, so you don't get the smell all over your house. Once that's done though, it's good to go!

I was surprised with all the value in such a compact toaster oven. I have a very restricted kitchen counter space, and the compact toaster oven footprint affords me still a great deal of useful counter space. It can handle 4-pieces of bread for toasting, or a 9" frozen pizza. Not only is toasting and oven heating provided, but also simple air-frying capability. There is a good deal of selection for oven temperatures, not simply a set of pre-selected temperature settings. The control knobs are large and sturdy.Even if I was not limited in available counter space, I would definitely consider this as a suitable element of my kitchen.

First off, I bought the open box version, in perfect condition with everything, for $38. I feel like I got a great bargain. Having had generations of toaster ovens at both our houses over the last twenty plus years, this is absolutely and far and away the best toast maker. It comes nearest to making perfect toast on both sides.The air fryer function is good but not as good as our dedicated air fryer. Nonetheless, the basket actually holds significantly more than our small air fryer, which we like as we often make large batches of homefries/roasted potatoes, brussel sprouts and wings. It took as a while to decide to actually follow the directions rather than our intuition and put the drip pan under the rack rather than putting the fryer basket directly into the pan. Does a much better job air frying this way. The only negative after a month of use: The drip pan is a bit hard to scrub. Though we haven't tried it yet, we like that it has room for a medium size pizza.This looks and feels like a quality product. It is modest sized and doesn't overwhelm our counters. We highly recommend this for smaller kitchens and smaller households.
