Great product! I love being able to grill easily and cleanly in the kitchen. My first George Foreman Grill lasted about 15 years; the second one I ordered was too small, and lasted less than 2 years before one of the sides stopped working. So I wanted to try a different brand that had a bigger surface area. After reading reviews, I decided on this one and am very, very happy with it. What an upgrade!! It's big enough for 4 chicken breasts, and multiple quesadillas. It cooks quickly and evenly. I also like that the main surface is mostly flat; ie, it doesn't slope forward like my previous grills, so panini's and other things don't move and slide forward. Their drainage design is smart, subtle. The main change I had to get used to is that the grill plates do not come off on this one, for individual cleaning; it's all one unit. But I think that helps make it more sturdy and substantial. I love this grill. It gives you a range of temperature control, feels very professional and "chef level", and is even good looking. Well worth it.

I absolutely love this grill for so many reasons, the size is perfect, it's sturdy and not flimsy like others. Also the drip well works great and is deep enough to catch everything perfectly. But... the cleaning after use isn't easy since the grills are not removable. This grill would be 5-star perfect if Hamilton Beach would design it with removable grills! Hopefully this change gets done some day.

Not the biggest but big enough. It gets really hot if necessary and it cooks just the way it's advertised. I'm satisfied! Please note the plates are not removable which isn't that bad. These grills need to be cleaned at every use. A damp paper towel really helps. Just read the instructions.

This purchase was actually the 2nd one of these I had. The first one lasted for 8 or more years, and just recently started to have problems with the controls.I loved it so much that I wanted to replace it with the same model. This is very easy to use, just plug it in, position the drip cup below the spout, hit the power button and choose your temp (you have a choice of either 350 or 425). If you want to use the sear feature, you then hit the sear button. This makes the grill heat up to 500 degrees for about 90 seconds to do a quick sear, then it reduces to your chosen temperature. I have fixed everything from beef tenderloin steaks to chicken breasts, to burgers, pork chops and even veggies. The grill is very versatile and gives great results. I grilled a steakhouse cut tenderloin steak, using the searing feature. 3-4 minutes for a perfect medium rare steak. I found that the cook times suggested in the manual are a bit long, but you can experiment to see what works for you.I would advise using Pam for Grilling spray on your grilling plates, it is designed for high temps and doesn't leave a residue.Cleaning the grill is reasonably easy. Note that this grill doesn't have removable plates. The directions tell you that when you have removed the food to turn off the grill and put wet paper towels between the plates while it is still hot. When the steam starts to subside, open the grill and use tongs to grasp the paper towels (which should be somewhat damp) and wipe down the plates. I have found that this gets off 95% of the food residue off the plates..maybe a little less if you are cooking something with a sticky glaze. If your grill requires more cleaning I recommend the George Foreman cleaning sponges. They have 2 sides..a scrubber and a regular sponge side, and are ribbed at the perfect spacing for cleaning the grid. a little bit of soap and water and the grill comes nice and clean. You do have to be careful to not get water in the control panel. I usually use the sprayer on my kitchen sink turned low, and tilt the grill so the water flows thru the grease drip spout. The grill stores easily, as it will sit upright and stores the cord under the grill and has a small footprint on the countertop. The finish is brushed stainless steel and wipes clean with a damp cloth.I have used other grills including a George Foreman and this one is far superior in my opinion. I have seen other reviews complaining about the plates not being removeable, but I like the fact that this makes them less wobbly than the removeable grids on other grills. For me, the superior grilling performance outweighs any slight inconvenience of not being able to pop the plates in the dishwasher. So if you want great grilling results, get this grill. You won't be sorry.

Now that I have this, I rarely EVER use the stove anymore! If you're someone on the go or just hates to do a lot of dishes / stove cleaning then this is for YOU! Both my roommate and I work full time at a place that has us lifting 30 - 40+ lbs of food bags all day. We're both exhausted at the end from being on feet all day and this grill? LIFE SAVER! Though we're tired we still like to eat healthy. To tired to deal with the stove and excess dishes from cooking so, I throw to frozen seasoned steaks on the grill (seer setting), some sliced onion (and other random veggies), close the lid and 5 minutes later we have grilled meat and veggies and minimum dishes / mess. It's also perfect for bacon! Done in 2 minutes, crispy and perfect! Kabobs are also awesome on this! The thing I really love about this grill is that it's slanted so you don't have to usher all the grease into the spill way, the slant does it on it's own. The lid is on a swivel so, it sits flat on your grill items for a more even cook. It heats up quick and gives a beautiful "char" on what ever you cook on it. The grease trap is also a nice size so you don't have to empty it every five seconds if you're cooking a larger meal. Clean up is super easy! I make rags out of my old flannel sheets, towels and thick cotton sheets which, are perfect this clean up! Wet your rag with a little soap, don't want a drippy wet rag just a wet rag. Place it on your bottom grill and turn on 300 for about a minute in a half and turn off your grill. Let it sit for about 2 minutes and then wipe clean - couldn't be easier! The thing I DON'T like about it is that it slides around a lot, the foot grips aren't rubber so it just slides around on your counter. The top lid also, when up, doesn't hang over the bottom grill so all your juice and grease can drip off the upper lid and onto the counter so, I keep an old rag behind it. The other thing is that the grease catch doesn't fasten or hold it's place at all so, if your grill is sliding around you have to pay attention to your catch to make sure it's still against the grill.
