Only the tray and blade is stainless steel and the main parts are aluminum and oxidized in the dishwasher. Compatible with kitchenaid and better than the Chinese no branded models

Bought planning on building my own grinder using my own motor. Was surprised at quality of item. It's really nice for price and will work great for my plans. Would recommend

This product is listed and even on the box states that it is compatible with KitchenAid mixers. After several attempts I have to warn everybody that it is in fact not when you insert the grinder into the KitchenAid it sits too far out from the notch which holds the grinder in place. When I attempted to use it I didn't notice that the first time and almost broke my wrist because the entire grinder came around in a full circle. Not only that it damaged my KitchenAid and chipped the powder coating off I am not impressed and I will avoid all Hamilton beach products in the future because of this. I did however have the concern that maybe it was my KitchenAid mixer. So after I returned this product I bought an actual KitchenAid grinder and it fit like a charm. No problems whatsoever. So all I'm trying to tell everybody is to stay away from this product if you want to buy it for your KitchenAid mixer!!!

Product went together very well and did a decent job grinding meat. However I was led to believe through other reviews that it works with kitchen aid mixers. It does not. I had to hold the grinder attachment into the head of the kitchen aid otherwise it would just spin around.It is a good strong product just not for kitchen aid mixers

It's main advantage is its construction from 100% stainless steel. All other models from competition, namely the dreadful and carcinogen KitchenAid equivalent are made from a dreadful aluminum alloy that produces dust, rust and not dishwasher safe, endangering the health of the user at the same time.The construction is great but it has small components that might go missing, rending the set useless.It is meant to works with Hamilton Beach's mixer, although it appears the mounting mechanism is standard and therefore might accommodate other types of mixers with front connection capability.I wish they made a standalone meat grinder machine made entirely from stainless steel. Although I am not a meat eater, a meat grinder set up has many non-meat uses, the least of which is making sausages. The potential can be expanded to include pasta/noodle making and processing certain pastry doughs and even chopping herbs finely with the right blade set.
