This has been a great and versatile little oven. Very little need to turn on the home oven with how easy this performs. Just upgraded the trays to some substantial no stick and it works great

This is exactly what I was looking for. Dosent take up too much counter space and holds a 12 in frozen pizza so my kids can cook pizza when I'm not home

The oven came well packaged, and was easy to put to use. once all the packaging was away, I only needed to plug it in and put it to use.The overall functions are varied and useful, being a streamlined and convenient way to cook almost anything with an oven that takes up a small footprint. The design is simple to understand, meaning the manual was barely needed. The sliding door is convenient, and despite my worries of the door slamming down when left upright, stays in the position you leave it in (open or closed). The only thing thing that I took notice in terms of quality was the temperature and heat distribution when cooking food. Nothing was underdone or unsafe to eat, but it did take some getting used to, requiring some experimentation with various settings, temperatures, and cook times to replicate what i was used to in other equipment. Sometimes food textures would come out differently as expected, as if it was in the oven a few minutes less than it should have been, or not as crispy as it should have been. I was at first concerned that maybe there was heat leakage due to how the door works, which leaves a small gap, open to the air, but it was just lack of familiarity with the oven. After a few more tries, it was working just fine.

We were going to buy a Ninja Foodie Air Fry / Toaster Oven but saw this for half the price and it holds more food. We've been using the Hamilton Beach for about 6 months now.First, it's generally well-made with mostly metal parts. The standard toaster oven functions (bake, broil and toast) all work very well. Heat is uniform, bread comes out relatively evenly toasted (not as good a dedicated toaster) and the temperature control is dead accurate per my calibrated oven thermometer.Air frying mode is good, but not great. It's slow to come up to heat and you're limited to 400° F max temperature. Our small basket style air fryer is faster and the digital controls on it are nicer than the analog controls on the Hamilton Beach. Now for the hidden trick. If you put the toaster oven in Air Fry mode (turns on fan), you can still use the temperature control dial to set the temperature lower than air fry hot (400° F). This effectively turns it into a mini-convection oven. I tested it at 2 different temps (300° F and 350° F) and both were spot-on. The instructions imply that in Air Fry Mode you have to set the temperature control to match. No you don't.The ONLY negative I've found is that the grease / drip pan is that goes under the rack/basket doesn't clean easily. It's got some kind of plating that actually holds the grease on while it "bonds" with the pan. The crumb tray is fine.

If you need a toaster, don't have an air fryer, and are looking for something that can also bake a frozen pizza as well as broil, this is for you! I am single, so using an entire oven for a small meal is slightly a waste. This thing is great! I use it to air-fry chicken nuggets, fries, burritos, and the like. I use it to cook frozen pizzas (DiGiorno pizzas fit with room to spare), and even broil sausage and hot dogs. It is also a great toaster, I usually have a bagel every morning. The door opens and you have instant access to the front of the oven, it is easy to slide stuff in and out, as well as hold a plate or pan underneath the food. the rack moves in and out like nothing, but is secure. It comes with a small baking pan and a fry basket that are both easy to clean. There is also a tray on the bottom that makes cleaning the inside a breeze. It does have a few flaws. The temperature knob doesn't seem as accurate as it could be, and you might have to cook food a bit hotter for a bit longer. The glass in the front is good, but it is not as easy to clean.

This is a great toaster oven! We are now a family of 5, so when our (many years old) smaller toaster oven stopped working, we looked for a 6-slice toaster oven. We chose this one for several reasons. My husband likes that this has an air fry option, because he loves to make things like wings and onion rings which will be great in the air fryer. I like that it doesn't take up a lot of counter space like some of the other 6 slice toaster ovens on the market, and I absolutely *love* the roll top door! I have never seen that on a toaster oven, and it is great because that means you can put your plate right in front of the toaster oven to slide out hot food. Also, my toddler likes to stand right by the toaster oven when I am using it, and I always worried she would touch the door when I was removing food, but with the roll top it's out of her reach so that is no longer a concern! So far, we have used it for toast, frozen waffles, reheating pizza and making toasted sandwiches, all work great. Be aware that it takes a bit of time to burn off the "new toaster smell." We ran it through two 10-minute bake cycles at 450, and 2 toast cycles before we actually using it to cook any food. Be sure to open some windows, or even do the burn off outside on a porch/deck like we did, so you don't get the smell all over your house. Once that's done though, it's good to go!

Hamilton Beach has been a reliable source for small applications in my home for as long as I can remember, so I knew I could expect quality. My old toaster oven was a tiny 4-slice with limited options and the timer was on the fritz. It was time for a new one. I wanted something bigger, with lots of options. When I saw this easy-open door, I was intrigued.Firstly, this is MUCH bigger than the one I had before. Truly a 6-slice as advertised! It has a rounded back wall so you could even fit a standard frozen pizza in it.Secondly, the door. OHHHH the door. It swings so easily, so smoothly, so... WOW. Its a feature I never knew I needed. I cant imagine ever going back to a standard swing-down hatch. This is magical, and so nice for those with limited counter space. It also allows easy access and reduces the chances of burning myself while reaching in to grab food. The toast feature toasts BEAUTIFULLY. I cant remember the last time I had a bagel as evenly toasted as this. My old one would typically burn one side. With this toaster oven, my bagel came out evenly toasted with no burnt edges/spots.I just baked some southern style chicken strips and it baked through perfectly. Once again, the heat was distributed evenly, and the basket ensured no cold spots. Delicious! The basket itself perfect fits one box of frozen chicken strips or nuggets.Oh, and another thing. My old toaster had the catch tray on a hinge, which meant carefully wiping it down by hand, and made burnt-on foods impossible to remove. This one has the built-on base, but the catch tray sits just inside and is easily removed to be fully submersed and washed in the sink.If you need a new toaster oven, this one is what you need. It is worth every penny!

If you are looking for a very simple, tech easy, and functional toaster oven, this is it. My 93 year old father learned how to use it after 1 lesson. The only thing needed is a magnifying glass to read the print on the oven. They are small print and not that easy to see. He is managing and I feel better because he can make hot meals in an instant. The air fryer worked perfectly for tasty French fries and fried fish sticks. No computer or digital. Easy to turn dials for ease of use.
