Unlike the other popular brand I tested, this gimbal trim does work properly with the Lutron Caseta and dims down low. Being able to control the max brightness is quite useful and the optional dim to warm is quite nice (warmer as it gets lower). A bit more expensive than other Amazon brands but worth the difference for rooms that need to be dimmed down (bedrooms, livingrooms etc ..)

Installed easily, and I love the ability to adjust the color temp and choose between two brightness levels. FYI, the switches are on the back of the light and you select color and brightness during installation - you can't adjust them with an app or on the switch. But, if you change your mind, just pull the light down, tilt it and move the selector switch. Push it back up and you're done.

Quality: sufficiently good.The max bulb tilt angle is about 38 degrees. Comes with its own built in bulb. Vaguely speaking, with it at max tilt angle, the bulb illuminates about a 5'x5' swath of wall from a horiz distance of about 6 ft (.. 8ft); It is not a pencil width beam.Inside the can is a slide switch for setting the warmth of color, not easily reached once installed, and it has a slide setting for two levels of wattage. I preferred max wattage.At max 'warm color setting' I found I wanted it a little bit warmer.Install: Installed on pre-existing 6" cans. The prior can was a two layer can so I 1st removed the prior bulb and innermost can. This new version comes with 3 options for grabbing the (existing can's housing) existing outermost can. A small Phillips screwdriver was all that's necessary to swap between the three options. Took about 15 minutes start to finish.

On the Cooper Lighting (HALO) website these lights (RA56LS9FSD2W1EWH) are described as “AIR-TITE, wet location-listed, IC-rated, and ENERGY STAR® certified.” At the time of purchase, the product photos here on Amazon also showed the light as being airtight and wet location listed. However, the light is not actually airtight, it does not come with a gasket, and it clearly says on the light that it only suitable for damp locations.Other than the information being incorrect, it’s a good quality light with nice features like the Dim-to-Warm option, and it is easy to install. I ended up returning the light as I was specifically looking for an airtight, wet-location rated light. Cooper Lighting (HALO) needs to correct the product information.
