On the male connectors the heat shrink plastic covers the end of insertion for the wire . In order to use them I had to trim back the plastic to allow the wire to be inserted properly.This was time consuming and a pain. As such, half way through the job I was using them for I decided to stop and use another product.

These are great splice connectors for small gauge wiring. If you have something that needs to be disconnected from time to time this is one of the best options for a couple of wires. The heat shrink also works well and has held up on items that have been in the elements on a regular basis.

I was kind of shocked when I crimped one for the first time. Little to no effort and the casing didn't crack!!!Thereafter, the shrink was a good 3:1 making a strong sold to the shielding of wire.

Had to remove the heat shrink and replace it with a smaller size that also has the inner glue as it would not shrink down to my 20ga wire. The metal part is flimsy but is good enough. Next time I will try a different brand/seller.
