Pros:Great qualityDurableLove the cardboard labels (wish they came with more however)Easy to clean with a bottle brushStands well if fullSeals well - the lids are really snug I don’t worry about spillageThey freeze well - make sure to lie them down flat and not fill up to the max so it can expand properly. If you need to warm milk in a hurry when you boil water and place bag in a cup it heats up incredibly fastCons:Takes a long time to air dryDoesn’t fit in my Dr Browns sterilizer because they’re so tallInaccurate measurements when filled - ex) if I pump 90 mL it will say there is 120 mL in the bagHard to read the measurements especially at nightFalls over if filled 1/4 or 1/2 wayI’d still recommend them if you want to avoid single use bags. We liked them enough to get two sets.

As a husband and father, I've been hands-on with our breastfeeding journey, and the Haakaa Silicone Milk Storage Bags have been a phenomenal help. These reusable breast milk bags have made the storage and handling of breast milk incredibly convenient and efficient.Firstly, the quality of the silicone used in these bags is outstanding. They are durable, flexible, and free from any harmful chemicals, which gives me peace of mind knowing that the milk stored in them is safe for our baby. The material is also surprisingly sturdy, which means the bags stand upright when filled, reducing the risk of spills. One of the best features, from my perspective, is the ease of use. The bags are simple to open and seal, and the leak-proof design is foolproof. This has been particularly helpful during those middle-of-the-night feedings or when I'm looking after the baby while my wife is resting or away. The reusable nature of these bags is not just eco-friendly, but also cost-effective in the long run. Being able to wash and sterilize them for repeated use has saved us from constantly buying disposable bags. It's a sustainable choice that aligns with our family's efforts to reduce waste. The design of the bags is well thought out, with clear measurement markings that make it easy to track how much milk is being stored. This feature is especially useful for monitoring the baby's intake and planning for feedings.Additionally, the bags’ versatility in terms of temperature resistance is impressive. They handle both freezing and warming well, maintaining the integrity of the milk without any concerns of the material degrading or leaching.Lastly, the compact and space-saving design when empty is a huge plus. We can easily take them along on trips or outings, ensuring we always have a safe and convenient way to store breast milk on the go.In conclusion, the Haakaa Silicone Milk Storage Bags are a superb product that I highly recommend to any parent involved in breastfeeding. They offer convenience, safety, and durability, all while being an environmentally responsible choice. As a husband, I appreciate how these bags have made handling and storing breast milk easier and more efficient for our family.

These are great for mom's trying to reduce their plastic use and honestly superior to single use bags in many ways.1. They fit more milk...9 oz rather than 62. They stand up better, so easier to pour milk into3. Less microplastics going into your baby4. Haven't leaked yet!I try to reduce plastic use as much as possible, but no system is perfect. Here's mine:First pump at work...pump into bottles, usually 8-9 oz, pour into Haakaa bag, reassemble bottles and pump flanges for next pump, refrigerate milk and pump parts. Second pump...take ice cold flange bottle setup and place on warm body. Pump second time, keep in bottles with caps on, refrigerate.Next day, have 2 plastic bottles ready to go...Haakaa bag gets poured into glass bottles. Repeat throughout work week until last day, then freeze milk in 2 Haakaa bags. Having 5 bags is perfect so I only have to wash once a week. Washing relatively easy...I always rinse with plain water immediately after emptying. Then later shake with hot water and dish soap. If not looking clean, attack corners with bottle brush. I have not had problems with off odors in milk.Extra amounts above what I think baby will eat goes into those crappy single use milk bag as emergency back up stash for husband, since they're a bit easier to thaw and I don't like tying up all my workhorse Haakaa bags with little 3 oz portions. So that's what works for us! A balance of reducing plastic plus convenience. I also like that these bags could be used to store purees or even used as frozen ice blocks later when our breastfeeding days are done.
