A marginally cool toy. Don’t love the safety/stability part. My two year old fell off the thing a number of times and bonked himself due to tipping when bounced aggressively. Also there’s no place in the design for the kid to hold on to. You can hold on to the ears but they are not real handles. His mom was worried he’d hurt himself. But it’s a cute looking thing. And all the adults had a big laugh when my son in law had to inflate the thing by blowing air directly into the toys hindquarters (a/k/a ass). It was vaguely obscene and also hysterically funny.

I bought this for a four-year-old a three-year-old and a two-year-old. They all love them. It burns a lot of energy and it’s quiet.

Absolutely beautiful product! Very good quality toy. We learned about this toy in the sensory class and they have been using it for years. Made to last. And it’s really good that you can pack it flat in storage when you don’t need it or for moving. Takes very little space. I would pay more money for this. Good value for money. Any child will love this toy.

It was Easter of 2014, and my wife and I, along with our then 15-month-old daughter were invited over to my wife's Aunt Mary's house for Easter dinner.Aunt Mary is somewhat older, and doesn't have many kids toys at her house, but, she did happen to have this way-old-school rocking horse thing with huge springs, and a metal frame, and... it was just the kind of thing that parents nowadays would look at and think immediately that 'my kid is going to lose a finger on that somehow'...Well, we didn't let the old-school horse-rocker deter us from letting our daughter get on it to just 'give-it-a-go'... and boy, did we regret that decision as soon as we made it.Dont worry, she didn't lose a finger. She did, however, fall in love with bouncing on EVERYTHING from that day on, while yelling "neigh! neigh! neigh!"Sofa arms? "Neigh! neigh! neigh!"Dining room chair? "Neigh! neigh! neigh!"Dad's knee? "Neigh! neigh! neigh!"The next-door-neighbor's 2-year-old kid? "Neigh! neigh! neigh!"Finally, after about 4 months of my kid 'neighing' on everything, my wife and I decided we needed to find something that would fulfill my daughter's love for neighing while also allowing her to stay somewhat safe while doing so (the arm of a sofa is just 2.5' too high for our comfort)...Enter the Rody - this thing allows my daughter to 'neigh' til the horses come home - she bounces on it everywhere, and - BONUS - since there are no springs to do the work, she wears herself out on it while bouncing which leads to more peaceful naptimes after a full session on this thing.Buy this - it's fun for the kids, and fun for you.

Let me just start off by saying that Rody is TOUGH! I bought this for my daughter when she was able to stand on her own (like 7 or 8 months old), because I wanted her to have something different than all the typical "baby" toys. I put her on Rody, and held her while she bounced and wiggled around. She absolutely loved him! Now as she's getting older (she's a year old now), she can bounce on her own without me having to hold her, although I am right next to her to ensure she doesn't fall off. She can't climb on an off yet, but she enjoys Rody nonetheless. My daughter loves to hug Rody, because he's her "horsey".I know as she gets older she will continue to have more fun with it. She likes to hold onto Rody's ears when she's bouncing, and she likes to chew on them too. Luckily, Rody is made in Italy from tough, thick latex so I'm not worried about dangerous toxins or that Rody will bust from her bites. I plan on buying the rocking base soon.By the way, I ordered the PEACH colored Rody. It's a pretty neutral color, very true to the picture.

We decided to purchase the Rody Horse, even though my son was only 15 months old, based on a friend's review and the countless YouTube videos of the horse in action. Hilarious! When we first gave it to him, he was a little indifferent. Now, just a week or so later, he loves bouncing on it, especially in front of guests - he likes to show off. :) Deciding on a color was the hard part but we decided on the yellow since it's gender-neutral and has beautiful, vibrant colors on it (blue dots and red saddle, etc.). We are very happy with our purchase and we're sure he'll continue to enjoy it in the future.Oh, another note, the horse can hold up to 300 lbs which means we can get on it (and then some). :) It is a workout on our legs and our little boy gets a kick out of seeing Mommy and Daddy bouncing away on his horse. Good times!

Our physically maniacial 2 year old daughter got this for Christmas. After a few bumps and bruises, she's a pro. It looks so much fun that I would actually like to sit on it. Even our relatively small 7 1/2 year old loves Rody. One problem we face is the Rody World War when one wants to use it and the other has it, so perhaps you would be wise to have two if that is applicable. Our 7 1/2 year old daughter has actually asked for the Rody Max which is supposed to withstand heavier children. They beat the heck out of the poor guy, but he faithfully bounces them all over the place. I am impressed with how much abuse it has taken. They use his ears as controllers. Let's not discuss what they jammed in its inflation hole area and why they did it. We used our own bicycle tire pump with the adapter that came with Rody to add air. We have primarily used Rody indoors as we live in a snowy place. I've got visions of a projectile 2 year old if it hits a patch of ice. Rody has encouraged races and Olympic-type games. It gets a bit grimy (what does that say for my house?) after being bopped around for a few weeks, but some spray cleaner will handle that. Definitely a good toy to buy. Durable, fun, and helps them burn off their energy.
