From the start there were issues. It claimed to be 9mm shafts but I had to open the holes to use these. Next, I could not keep the locking shafts tight. Eventually, one backed out and was lost, so I just removed the rest to stop the aggravation. Next, a plastic key came off. They are not screwed into the peg, like most tuners. Its just a press fit, and obviously not hard to come off. Most recently, I discovered that without the locking shafts, there was nothing holding the rear cover and tuning jackscrew in place. One popped off and now that I have lost what I did with the five shafts that remained, I have nothing to keep the cover and jackscrew in place. I hate to spend even more money on a cheap guitar, but I should have spent the extra $20 bucks for a higher quality product. Buy once, cry once. These tuners are tearjerkers.

Je les ai mises sur une Vintage VS6. J'ai dû agrandir les trous, mais vraiment ça tient bien l'accord.

I couldn't see installing top-of-the-line tuners in a bolt-on Epiphone, but these gave it a GREAT 'gibsony' look at feel. Locking makes stringing and tuning very easy. Well worth the paltry sum for a cheap knock-about

La dureté des mécaniques est TRES irrégulière. Certaines tournes très bien (voir trop sensible), d'autres c'est quasiment impossible de faire tourner la mécanique. Grippées.Le mécanisme de verrouillage est très bien, les écrou de montage également.

I just want to put up a true and honest review of this product. I just took off some Kluson Revolution tuners from this guitar (Harley Benton SC550 ver. 1) to put onto a Gibson Les Paul I just bought since the Kluson are on intergalactic backorder. I decided to grab a cheap set of locking, collared tuners for the Harley Benton for the time being. So the Kluson will be my point of reference to compare to. Keep in mind the Kluson are 19:1 and these are 15:1 so it is not a 100% comparison. These tuners are not bad at all. They will do the job and provide tuning stability. However, you can definitely feel a little slop in the gears, so your best bet is to preload them (tune, back the tuning peg off to remove the slop and then tune up again). Ratio wise you have a good amount of accuracy and can make small enough adjustments to get it dead on with your tuner. The finish is nice, but only time will tell how it holds up. The pegs are extra green, keep that in mind.Overall these are worth the price, but you are getting what you pay for here. Don't expect them to be on par with an established, well known brand like Kluson, Grover, Schaller or even Gotoh, they are definitely lower quality, but they are also much less money.I wouldn't put these on a high end guitar, but I will keep them on the Harley Benton.

While these tuners are a great value for what they are I just couldn't justify the build quality. The tuning pegs are VERY VERY tight making tuning your guitar a chore. And even though the key is tight the post is not and you can see the tuning post move as you bring your strings to pitch. I think these would be fine for heavier strings however heavier strings could cause more post flex which will cause failure of the tuner. However, if you are looking to upgrade from low end stock tuners I , but if you have decent stock tuners you're better off just keeping them

A bit worried about buying these after reading some reviews, but glad I took the chance. They look nice, not great, but good enough for my $200 Epi Les Paul Special, a HUGE upgrade from whatever crap tuners were on it from the factory for sure. Installed easy (you will likely have to drill the holes a bit larger if your tuners have the push in ferrules and not the screw in type, if that is not what you want, you need a different set of tuners with the push in ferrules). They are a bit inconsistent in the resistance of turning the knobs, but not too bad and may free up a bit over time (they are a bit stiff, but I'd rather them be stiff instead of lose). The sting locks all work well, but remember these are not high precision, so keep your expectations realistic. If you want Grovers, buy Grovers. These will probably work like true locking tuners will if you take your time, but I left a bit of string so I could wrap the sting at least once around the peg after locking and I did not overtighten the locking screw as the treads are not as precision looking as higher quality tuners.Again, for under $30, I'm impressed. They look good, function better than expected, and give the old Epi a more vintage style look. I would not put these on a Gibson, but for a cheap Epi or equivalent, they are more than adequate and I'd buy them again.
