This is a lightweight case good for trips to the range or for traveling in your car, or just to hold your gun in storage. For this purpose it's five stars. It fits my Ruger P94 (a large frame 9mm) well. However, the listing says TSA approved lock implying it's strong enough for air travel. It is not. If you're flying, I recommend you spend more and get an appropriate case strong enough for air travel. Otherwise, for light use, it's fine.

I don't own a hand gun myself yet but plan on getting one in the near future. This one is very sturdy and comes with a TSA lock that you can easily set the combination to.

If you need a way to lock up a firearm, this will work. It's not even as sturdy as some factory cases I've seen. But it does lock, and it does include a TSA approved lock, and it is cheap. The padding is nice, the size is adequate. No custom foam to separate magazines from firearm so the pieces are not jarring against each other. But the foam that is there is adequate to protect the main item for storage. It could also be used for other storage. So, on a budget, it will work. There are options for a little more that would be more protective or more sturdy. But also cost more.

Nice case that you can have confidence in carrying your pistol to and from the range in. It has good hinges, good grip, good locking hasp type hinges that do the job just fine. It comes with a lock that you can create your own sequence for in no time at all. The instructions to do so are included. I would say that the foam padding is a little thinner than I would normally prefer, but it looks like it needs to be that way to accommodate thicker firearms. It holds a .45 Govt. model tight, but good. This thing fits right into a range bag with ease. Nice!!

This review is for the Betschkim brand ‘Gun Cases For Handguns’ hardshell case, 10.3”x8.8”x3”.I wanted a gun case with a little more space for extra mags. This case certainly has it, but there simply isn’t enough padding to hold them in place. My Ruger P95, often considered a bulky pistol, slides around inside just from tilting the case...this isn’t going to work for me. As it is, this case is unusable for me unless I rip out the padding and put in something thicker.Fortunately, the case itself is nice enough that performing surgery on it like that might be worth it. It seems sturdy enough and is well designed with good hinges and very effective slide locks, plus it comes with a decent lock you can use to secure it.Overall, the case itself is nice, but for most people the lack of padding will be a deal breaker – nobody wants their pistol and mags sliding around and banging together, after all, and that is exactly what will happen if you try to use this case as it is now. It would be a five star case with sufficient padding, but as is, I can’t give it any more than three...you shouldn’t have to gut the inside of a brand new case just to be able to use it.

Overall: As a gun case, there is absolutely no way I would travel with one of these unless I had no other options. The plastic is VERY thin and the hinges seem a little sketchy to me. I can't imagine having anything expensive and/or on the heavy side (like some Hks, Sigs, etc.) in it an it going through TSA. As a handheld radio case, however (which is how I ended up using it), it works.Pros:- Cost: The price point is insane. I don't think you can beat this price retail- Size: Good if you don't want to carry something massive, heavy or bulkyCons:- Size: This will most likely fit a full size semiautomatic with 1-2 magazines, but that's it. Accessories could be an issue- Materials: The case seems very cheaply made (see "cost" above)- Construction: I don't really trust the latches as they don't seat and manipulate well or easilyAgain, if you absolutely need something and you are in a pinch, this could work. However, given the investment a firearm entails, I would save a little extra money to get something a little heavier duty. If you need this type of case to hold something useful, but perhaps non-essential (read: not life or death), this will probably work.

Not bad for transporting your handgun to work or the range but the foam padding could've been thicker. It fits my full sized Beretta PX4 Storm and two mags, the foam however when closed doesn't secure the firearm and magazines so it'll slide around as you're carrying it. I ended up transferring my other foam from my old case and placing it on top with the original one to create a thicker padding. I should note that the padding it comes with can't be taken off, you could probably rip it all off but eh too much work.Other than yeah I recommend this, it locks well even with one lock on one side and it doesn't use those flimsy plastic clamps on the front that wear out quickly.
