I have a bass that had an "active tone boost" circuit that sounded good when the tone control was turned all the way up, but like crap otherwise, so I decided to pull it out and make it strictly passive. I used one of these caps for passive tone control. Thanks to the fairly robust legs, it was easy to solder without removing the pot from the body cavity. Once in place, it does exactly what I wanted and my tone knob is actually useful.

I like the product, and it sounds great so far in my fender stratocaster (HSS) on the bridge humbucker pickup. Not sure if they truly sound "as good" as orange drop brand polypropylene capacitors (I don't have personal experience with those yet) but so far I am very pleased with these caps. One thing I love about them is since they're 400 volt rated they have nice sturdy legs which is good for pitch stability and tone. And they are pretty much the perfect size for any application. I'm sure these are comparable to Orange Drop 0.022uf caps and are pretty much made of the same materials, with the same capacitance ratings, and they sound great and operate smoothly down the tone dial. I paired these with 500k pots with humbucker in the neck position with split coil and the tone was remarkable.
