This is a very odd guitar rack. It came well packaged and went together fine. Although, while assembling it, I felt like it was going together incorrectly. The structure means that guitars are just about straight upright, and the separators at the top are angled upwards oddly. It's sturdy enough, but the guitars placed in it don't seem stable. The headstocks banged into each other for me, and the lower bout of short scale guitars seem to be scraping the ground. Not ideal. You can see from the photos that I tried full scale, short scale and acoustic guitars all with the same result. I would suggest removing some of the dividers and using this stand for no more than eight guitars. And I'd put it on a thick carpet to prevent scratching your guitar on the ground or damaging the strap button. So, this is a decidedly mixed bag. There are other better choices in this price range.****Addendum: I thought about it for a while, then decided to try the rack backwards. I turned it around, then fed the separators through in the opposite direction, so this time they tilt downward rather than up. As you can see from photos 3 and 4, the rack works much better this way. There is about a half inch more clearance on the bottom between guitar and floor. And the guitars are actually more stable this way. I notice that neither way will hold a Mitchell Mini 22 inch scale guitar because the bottom posts are simply too far apart. but the rack is overall much more stable and as long as you are careful, you can put the guitars in without banging them into each other. And it's best to put classical or acoustic guitars on the ends with their bodies toward the outside of the rack, which leaves you more guitar room in the middle of the rack. So, I have increased the stars from 3 to 4. Just use this rack backwards and it's much better and more stable.

This guitar stand is a huge addition to the music room. The stand fits multiple instruments. I really like it because the top knobs are adjustable so you can fit wider or thinner items in the rack or various widths in the same rack. Also that it was easy to put together with simple tools. The quality is strong. The bars and knobs are also padded to support instruments being held by the rack.
