The cord compass book is great, however I’m not confident in the quality of the slider tool. The one I received has a cloudy area and marks on the back of the clear plastic window. The slider has a wrinkle in the plastic which makes me question how long it will last.This is the third item I’ve purchased from Noisy Clan. I also own the circle of fifths and the cheat sheets. I really appreciate the ease of use and intuitive nature of their books and tools. They have helped me improve and made it easier to visualize how the CAGED system interconnects along the fret board.I would definitely buy from them again, but this product needs some quality improvements to make it consistent with their other items.

Für Leute, die gerade anfangen, Gitarre zu spielen, kann ich es sehr empfehlen. Allerdings ist das Begleithaft in englischer Sprache. Ein paar Englischkenntnisse wären vorteilhaft, aber nicht zwingend. Es werden auf dem Akkord-Kompass fünf Dur-Akkorde, und zwar C, A, G, E und D-Dur in verschiedenen Positionen auf dem Hals visualisiert. So kann man z.B. Umkehrungen und auch Solo-Gitarre spielen lernen. Ich würde empfehlen, auch das ein oder andere Video zu diesem Artikel auf YouTube anzuschauen.

I bought this, thinking the Cord Compass was really cool and would be helpful, but thought I would really benefit from exercises in the book. Well, while the Cord Compass is cool and helpful, the book is just amazing! In easy to understand and with well illustrated concepts, it leads you to discovery after discovery that takes you from cord shapes to an understanding of the fretboard! I finally get it now!

The compass is great, and the book adds so much additional information. I purchased this guitar compass, and the piano compass. The piano compass don’t have a book with it as the guitar. I believe the guitar compass is the better value

This is a nice bit of kit to introduce beginners and intermediate players to chord shapes and the CAGED system. It comes with a book and a chord compass. Both are laid out simply and easy to understand.It would be a great gift for beginning guitarists or someone just getting into music theory.Both the book and compass are great quality but a bit pricey in my opinion.For those wondering if they should spend the $ let me give you a sneak peek of what you'll learn...TRIADS. Yep, that's about it. Do you know triads? If not, buy the book.

Natty little tool to help show you how chords appear on the fretboard. I've been playing guitar for a few months now and learned the basic chords in the open position (cowboy chords). I'm going to use this to help me play further down the neck. The book is much bigger than I expected - seems to be easy to follow - great idea and such a fun little tool. Might even fit in my music folder too!

Such a perfectly simple tool that gets you quickly playing chords and understanding the entire neck of the guitar. Makes playing and learning fun and exciting as you hear the different sounds each location presents.

Ne permet pas de visualiser les accords mineurs. Cet outil ne montre que la construction des accords majeurs.C'est très dommage car les accords mineurs sont autant utilisés que les accords majeurs.Le système est bien conçus et pratique mais la position des 3 notes (fondamentale, tierce et quinte) est complètement différente en mode mineur donc on ne peut pas l'utiliser pour voir et comprendre la différence entre les deux modes comme le fait d'autres outils plus complets.C'est vraiment dommage. C'est à moitié utile :/

Received this product the next day early (today) after making the purchase! This musical aide came packaged extremely well and is easy to follow at a glance for getting started. I plan to read the entire manuals while holding my guitar so I can put things together in a practical sense. The materials are top quality and is written very well. I'm sure with allotted time spent with these aides and lots of practice, I will finally figure out the CAGED system and understand the circle of fifths. It only gets better from here!
