For only an extra dollar or two, the features of this great capo makes it worth it. It's got a very sturdy feel and the metal is nice and thick, with a strong enough spring even for my 12-string guitar. The rubber pads are really thick and durable, so this thing will probably last for ages. My first capo had a nylon strap with an awkward locking mechanism that took 2 hands to install, but this is so easy to use with one hand. The hinge is made to precision and doesn't rattle or anything, and the painted finish looks really nice. Something very cool that I didn't notice at first is the built-in bridge pin pulling tool for acoustics, I know that will come in handy. The only other pin puller I have is plastic and built into a string winder, and it doesn't work very well because, being plastic, it has to be thicker than the ideal size so it doesn't break. I've hated to use pliers or a screwdriver, so this will be my go-to from now on. I don't worry about it damaging the back side of my guitar necks with the very thick and ribbed rubber piece on the back side. Just for fun I also tried this on my 5-string bass and 7-string guitar and it works very well. I'm really happy with this and I like the style, thank you very much.

Giving 4 stars because it’s a little tight/small. It’s tough to get on without pulling a string. If you’ve got a thin narrow neck OR uke/banjo this would be good. If you’ve got a wide thick neck or want to capo higher up the fretboard this probably isn’t for you.I thought the plug puller was going to be a useless novelty but it ended up being an upgrade over my other puller. Works very well.Overall, I with it opened wider and was also physically wider where it contact the strings. Just too tight
