This product is no good for me they dont hold the strings down in neither one of my guitars. I almost lost an eye when tighting them the first time as i didnt realize how loose they were. Its ashame cause they do look nice. They need to be wider to fit more snuff when pressed down. having the tradition slot going down allows the string to slowly pull them out as you tighten them. I dont recommend them, I will search for others that actually work

These bridge pins are too small for my Japanese made Yamaha acoustic. If they would have fit I would have given 5 stars.

Pins are too short and too small in circumference to stay in older used guitar holes. If your holes are old and worn out… these pins just won’t bring satisfaction… sure they are gorgeous but you will need to think about the girth needed for the old holes…. Thats all… if your guitar is newer they might work just fine… mine is old and dried out! You need a beautiful new piece of moist…. Anyways you get the ideas…

This will change the sound of your acoustic to be brighter. If you have standard acoustic round wound strings this could be an issue and result in a tinny sound which could sound cheap. But if your acoustic is mellow warm sound and you want to add brightness to it, this works. If you are a pro who wants great tone pair these with semi-flat top acoustic strings. The sound will be bright and warm. The flat wounds will mellow the brightness out and kill the string squeak.

One of the original plastic bridge pins went missing while the guitar was away at college with one of my kids. They looked pretty sharp, and I know some people believe brass pins improve sustain and tone, so I decided to give them a try. After installing them and tuning the new strings, I played and re-tuned (ah, the joys of new nylon top strings) for a couple of hours. Personally, I can't say I noticed any change in sustain or tone, but I've not been the primary player of this guitar for a few years. I'm playing with classical strings, so a difference may be more noticeable if you outfit your rig with steel strings. That said, I really like how they look, and I like how substantive are. As a bonus, my bridge pins are now bright and shiny like my tuning pins. The extras that came with the bridge pins—the picks and the pin puller—they really are just extras, in my opinion. I'm always glad to have some extra guitar picks, and the pin puller works and was useful. [Believe it or not, I've been playing for more than 40 years and I've never used one before today.] I think I'll keep it around. These brass bridge pins are, in my opinion, worth the price even without the included extras. They are well-machined and have a fine, polished finish. Installation was no different than installing the original plastic pins. They were a perfect fit.

In my case every pin fit perfectly; however If you have a tight pin, you'll need a reamer to open the hole up. Read the reamer instructions and go slow; one quarter to a half turn at a time! Also, it takes a little effort to thread the string ball into the pin groove. You'll feel it when the ball slides up and into place. Be patient and don't give up.

Pretty impressed with the quality for the price. Nice that they include a pin puller and the picks are actually usable. These won't completely change the tone of your guitar but they're definitely an upgrade over cheap plastic pins and they look super cool too!

I had the same issue as many reviewers have reported in that these pins seem to small and don't stay secure in the hole. It was possible, but difficult, to get the ball end of the string to slide up the pin into proper position to secure the pin in the hole. For me, the solution was to simply file a slight angle at the bottom of the pin. This allows the ball of the string to slide up to the proper position. In the picture I posted you can see the original plastic pin in the middle is properly tapered. The new brass pin's hard edge is circled in red and the modified/filed edge in green. Super easy mod. The brass is soft and a nail file would probably work in a pinch.I had a metal file and did 12 pins in less than a minute. Not sure why the manufacturer hasn't addressed the complaints and simply tapered the bottom end of the pins. Overall I'm pleased with the price, look, and sound of the new pins. I subtracted 1 star because I had to make a modification for ease of use.
