I'm speaking of the cutter marked "Guillo-Max" I can't speak to the other off-brand look-alike knock-offs. This Guillo-Max cutter is a beast. It cuts cleanly and effortlessly. Big lever handle for lots of torque with little effort. I am very happy with this product for its ability to clamp the work and cut it. The fence, however, is of poor design and difficult to position accurately. One cannot get it any closer to the blade than 7 inches due to the way it's designed; and then it's loose and wonky. I'm going to redesign it with a clamping system from the side. I'm not taking away any stars for this, though, because I'm so impressed with its cutting ability - which is what I bought it for. If you're comfortable positioning your work by eye, and don't really need a fence that gets closer to the blade than 7 inches then this is the rig for you. I highly recommend it under those circumstances.

Received and opened the same day. Once set up, we tested cuts. Could not get it cut straight on 17" or 11" side of the paper. Contacted manufacturer, adjusted blade- still does not cut straight. Using 100lb paper, we could only cut 3-5 sheets at a time therefore not cost-effective when you have 1,000 sheets to cut down. Happy to see it cuts to 17 which is hard to find, but sorry it didn't work out like hoped.

This Guillotine it's perfect for what I needed for it doesn't take up a lot of space you can cut accurately

I had to return mine, the blade wouldn't adjust. The machine is so heavy, which is great until you have to carry it back to UPS.

A truly industrial paper cutter. Works as advertised immediately. Precise, rugged and efficient. Great design in STEEL. The clamping system, Blade and Blade articulation systems are superb. A plethora of adjustments are precise and straightforward. An industrial strength tool for our shop.

Guard does not hold position so it is difficult to make straight cut. Disappointed. It does however cut large stacks easily.
