They are too loose in the standard socket. If I jiggle it bulb will light but they do not engage and stay lit

If you’re looking for bulbs for your RV, I suggest you get these. I’ve never written a review before, but these are worth it. Got these to replace the incandescent bulbs in the reading lamps over the bed in our RV, and they’re great. Almost exactly the same brightness as the 1176 incandescent bulbs (according to side-by-side eyeball comparison), and very good color. Slightly whiter than the incandescent, but still “warm.” (A cheaper model of “warm” LED’s I purchased on Amazon recently turned the room piss yellow). They obviously use a lot less electricity which is great when you’re on battery, and they kick out less heat so the AC doesn’t have to run when on shore power.Be advised: if a bulb doesn’t work out of the package, try rotating it 180 degrees and reinstalling it before assuming it’s bad—like all LED’s, these have polarity, but the sockets don’t.

I'm using these for my dome and trunk lights. Works great, and they're brighter than the DE3175 bulbs they replaced! The only drawback I'm having is that they're slightly too large for the compartments I put them in - I should've ordered 24-LED or 32-LED bulbs instead of 48-LED ones. Which means they're sitting on the diffusers, through which we can see the individual LEDs. The diffusers are warm to the touch, but I haven't seen any molten plastic yet. Installation was easy, and the 3M sticky side sticks well.

These appear to be well made LED bulbs using the 5050 warm white LED modules. These bulbs are polarity sensitive so if they don't light at first, remove the bulb from the socket, turn 180 degrees and reinstall. The color rendition is a bright white and doesn't have that bluish tint that is sometimes seen with LED bulbs. These bulbs are designed for 12V DC operation only. The current limiting is performed by fixed 100 ohm surface mount resistors meaning that the current will increase (and brightness) with increasing voltage. At 12 VDC, the current draw is about 230 mA for a power consumption of 2.8 watts. At 14 VDC, the current is 360 mA for a power consumption of 5 watts. At 16 VDC, the current is 582 mA for a power consumption of 9 watts (along with an ever so slight aroma that goes along with toasty hot electronics so the prudent experimenter immediately turns down the voltage). Keep this bulb at 14 VDC or lower or you may let out the magic smoke. Once the magic smoke escapes your electronics, you can't stuff it back in and it won't work anymore. I would have given these five stars if they had included the circuits to regulate current like the Brightech LED bulbs that draw constant power (and brightness) from 10 VDC to 30 VDC. On the other hand, these bulbs are dead simple so the only likely failure will be the LEDs themselves. We'll see how they do in the overhead fixture above the dinette in my RV.

I bought a 10pak of these to convert the cabin lighting in my boat. They are cost effective compared to alternatives, and work great. Nice warm glow, not a harsh white or bluish like some other bulbs I bought.Unfortunately the boat has several different types of lights and sockets, and these won't fit them all.So I'm ordering BA15d sockets to convert the other lights so they'll all use the same bulb, and I'll order another 10pak of these. In some instances, I just removed the old mismatched socket and soldered the 12vdc wires straight to the bulbs themselves. With their long life, I won't have to worry about changing them out for years anyway.

This product works as advertised and produces a very nice soft white color that is very similar to incandescent bulbs. The light output is slightly better than the incandescent bulbs it replaces and also produces far less heat. The other benefit is a significant reduction in battery power needed to light the camper....as it's used in our fifth wheel RV.
