This is a NiMH battery backup emergency exit sign. Two NiMH batteries combine for 3.6 vdc & 1000 mAh (3.6 Wh) and are based on common size AA 1.2vdc NiMH which are both inexpensive and replaceable. They claim to provide 90+ minutes of dual bright spotlight and EXIT sign lighting as required by fire code. When there is a power outage, the spotlights come on which are very bright. It mounts to the wall, or to a junction box on a wall, or to the ceiling. It can be configured multiple ways:One sided EXIT sign,EXIT sign lit on both sides,Removable punchouts for direction arrow.Spotlights are highly adjustable,The lights can be unsnapped easily if you need to customize it.Here is a list of superior features when compared to other emergency exit lights in this price range, some I've circled in green:All parts are well-made, and the plastic is sturdy and fits together accurately. Most parts are snap-together.Galvanized ceiling mount plate is robust and fits most ceiling lighting cans or boxes. The instructions are easy to read, and are correct. The two AC input power wires are quality 18AWG wire, pre-tinned, clearly marked, and 20" long.Input voltage is 120-277vac nominal. Unlike others, there is no separate 277/120 wires or jumpers to set.The board is fused, but soldiered in.Bad points? The first one I tested had one of ten backlighting red LEDs inoperative. The sign is still plenty bright. Other than that, I was impressed.

We had to replace our very old exit signs, these were on budget and compliant with fire dep. I think it’s been over a year since we installed them, everything still working fine.

I am a Fire Tech and installed 2 of these, its not as bright as you would think, LED's are quite dim. But its still good to have some light rather than nothing.

Bought these to replace my old NON LED, Leviton brand ones that were $135.00 each originally.Lead acid Battery's were all bad in my 17 year old Leviton ones (new batterys were $27.00 to $55.00 each) and these cost less than just buying new aftermarket battery's
