I carry it on my work belt, it rides in a large slip ring. The handle is correctly sized for the hammer head and using two hands is no problem. I remove the tool from the slip ring in one smooth, sliding motion.

Someone was asking about the length of this hammer. It works great! Super easy to control! And you’ll never misplace it!

Just received this hammer (finally). Head is hung off square giving it a "open hang" on one side and a "closed hang" on the other. Very disappointed because such a condition can make it dangerous to use because of the inaccuracy it creates if the hammer is flipped to the opposing striking surface. Had trouble getting it delivered because a signature was required for the delivery and my wife and I both work. Definitely not worth the money and frustration it took to get it into my hands. My advice is to go with Wilton instead.UPDATE: After a approximately 1 month of heavy use, I'm now bumping my rating from 2 to 4 stars. All the above is still should be considered, but the toughness, power, and seemingly indestructiblility of this hammer have impressed me. I still prefer the Wilton, but this hammer is a beast.2nd Edit: after months of hard use, I can now forgive completely all of the earlier complaints that I had. This hammer is a worthy edition to any tool box. Highly recommend.

The nicest soft face steel hammer I could find. The handle length is appropriate and the grip is as expected. It is stamped with the S identifying it as soft face, this wasn’t noted in the description and was the only thing I was nervous about before seeing it.

I bought this hammer to use with steel wedges to split oak. I've used it probably 5 times now for splitting wood and no problems---the head is still tight. I like the cushioning effect of the rubberized handle. While using it, I have not struck the hammer's handle on the oak, so I can't say how tough it is.
