We bought a set of these for the 9 x 12 ground mat we bought. Just bought another set for the dogs (3). That way they don't get tangled up. They work great! There are rocks in the hard ground but the cut angled base helps them move through. Highly recommend for multiple purposes.

We use sand mats or "ground savers" under our awning when we're out camping and these are a nice inexpensive upgrade to any sand mat, tent footprint, ground tarp, etc. Unlike the typical "J" shaped anchors, which always seem to spin around and release tension. I've always found the traditional anchors a bit finicky since you have to angle them just right so that they 1) stay in the ground and 2) still have the mat tensioned after they're pounded in the ground at that angle. With the Cawood Anchors stake, you can just pound them straight down and the tension on the mat stays the same. Since the top is flat, there's no trip hazard either.

We like to camp and do it often. We also like to put out ground mats to keep things a little cleaner. I saw these out one weekend out and knew they would work great. I went to a number of camping stores and could not find them anywhere until I found them here. Must have for any camp!
