The Grip Rite plastic box was broken open on arrival and spilled its contents inside the shipping box. This caused about 10 of the collated strips to break apart into pieces. A handful of nails came off the plastic strips entirely. I'll set those nails aside for hand nailing. I'm not sure how to avoid this from happening other than Grip Rite makes a more durable container that doesn't come apart. Maybe if it had a cello wrapping around the plastic box, it would keep the lid on. It is a heavy container for shipping loose inside a cardboard box, so I guess it is fortunate more of the strips didn't break. The nails themselves are just fine as a product, and the strips load and run through the nailer just fine. I'll probably just buy nails from the local home center next time.

They come in plastic cases. One was busted. There's just no way they can ship that heavy solid weight and have the packaging survive 100%. No damage to product.

These work well in my Ridgid nailer. As one poster commented- 21 degree nails are tough to find locally so thankful Amazon carries these and other sizes. I like the fact they are full headed nails. I have used Grip Rite exclusively with no significant issues

The plastic stripping is not as good as the paper stripping. The plastic jams more and the little pieces of plastic fly off and can hit workers. The paper stripping had less jamming and no plastic hitting people. Face protection is highly recommended when using these nails with this plastic stripping.

This is not about the product but the handling of it. I could not return the box because I just had to use what ever was left usable in it immediately. The cardboard box in which the case was packed was perfect and neat. That indicates that who ever put the case in the box was aware of the damage of the plastic case and the product on it. This nails have to be plastic collated... well, almost half of them were loose and entangled like if someone had trough the case from a second floor to the street.Amazon should pay attention to this. Also should create a place to write a feedback about this kind of issues. Thanks

I may have ordered the wrong nail for the job. These nails work ok in my Porter Cable nail gun, but are pulling out of decking. I ended up having to use deck screws to pull everything back firm.

These are basic framing nails, plus galvanizing. They work as expected, appear to be as specified, and unlike many brands ARE ACTUALLY GALVANIZED in the real, hot-dip zinc sense that meets code requirements. So far these are the best collated framing nails I've used. The not so good: the plastic connecting these is weak and brittle and will break somewhat easily. You have to be careful not to break the stick while loading it into your nailer. This is probably a trade-off for working well in the nailer and not having jams from leftover plastic bits. Also, the packaging isn't great. Most likely designed only for big-box-store sales, it provides no protection in shipping, and a few of the sticks were broken upon arrival.Overall: these drive well, they hold like nails should, and I repeat, they are actually galvanized.

I have a hard time finding 21 degree nails locally so was glad to find these at Amazon. I'm a very occasional user, but have been happy with these so far. Plastic box is nice if you like to reuse them for random workshop storage and don't already have a zillion lying around.
