Disassembled the webber Q1000. Removed faulty valve. Went to install new valve. Cut my hand in two places due to sharp edges on valve pressed sheet metal. Also it did not fit perfectly. I hand to file part of the Webber grill plastic housing that surrounds the on off knob. This provided clearance to insert the new valve into the hole which accepts the knob / on off shaft.Next time ill stick with a Webber OEM part!Live and learn.

The product looked similar to the one I needed to replace on my Q1200 that is two years old.The issue is the control valve is a differed configuration and would not fit. Fortunately I was able to switch the old control valve over to the new regulator and it works fine.
