Purchased these burner control valves for a 28" Blackstone griddle. Problem I was having with the griddle: low flames on left burner. I swapped the burners around and still nothing. Contacted Blackstone and all they suggested was to "reset" the regulator by slowly opening the triangle handle on the propane tank. All that was done prior to contacting them of course. When I turned on the griddle, I noticed the left burner flames to be minimal at best. Using a thermometer infrared gun, the right side reached beyond 600*F while the other side was a mediocre 350*. Even with the right burner turned off, the flames on left were hardly noticeable, roughly bout 1/4" high. Moving the dial did nothing besides lighting the burner,....no flame adjustments.Replacement was simple enough, with simple hand tools: Philips screwdriver, zipties, pliers and ample work space.Easy steps for replacement:1. Turn off valve on propane tank and remove. If griddle was on, wait until it is cool to proceed.2. Remove the screws holding the burners to the griddle. Place screws in a safe spot3. Pull off both control dials and remove the screws holding the control valve in place. Same thing, don't loose the screws.4. Remove cast iron griddle and place to the side.5. Flip the grill upside down and remove the middle shelving. This gives you more work room but is not necessary.6. Remove the screws on the brackets holding the gas control valves onto the gas rail pipe. You will then need to cut the existing zip ties that secure the ignitor wires and put gas rail pipe to the side.*** Install the new control valves and do everything in reverse ***Once you have everything done, check your work. You should now have larger flames and a working griddle.

We came across a great deal on a Blackstone; it was a floor model. The only issue is something you would've expected. The valves didn't function properly. Likely based on the number of people turning them without knowing how to use them. It caused us headaches trying to get it to turn on and adjust properly. But I came across these, and they're a great replacement. Found a video online on how to replace the valves and had them swapped out in no time. Ever since then, grilling has been so much easier, and we still got a bargain even after purchasing these. Although I can't honestly compare these to original valves, these definitely work and are better than the valves our grill came with, which were likely broken due to being a floor model. If you need to replace your valves, I'd recommend this set since it works for me.
