Excellent pole saw. Good reach. Assembly is simple. Disassembling is not easy but I don't really care that much about that.The saw is self oiling and operates smoothly. Chain cuts through branches with ease. It's not the lightest saw I've used but the balance is good as long as you're not overextended.The 2 amp battery that it comes with has enough power to make a number of cuts before needing recharging. I also purchased a 6 amp battery for even greater longevity. It's not the easiest tool to store assembled but it can be Disassemble with some effort.All in all, it's a good value for the money and much better made than some I have had in the past.

I have to say it works on branches that are at least 4 to 6 inches. If you use it on a 2 inch branch the chain will lock up and you’ll have to put the chain back on.The battery lasts amazing. I literally used it last summer and forgot to charge the battery and it still had three bars on the battery and I cut about four six inch branches with it and it’s still at three bars.The only issue is that no matter how you store it the chain oil leaks. I tried to only put in the minimum amount but even then I have to set it on a large piece of cardboard because it just leaks like a sieve.I don’t know why as the top is tightened very well, but that is my big issue.I had it hanging up, but oil started leaking all over-no matter how I hung it. It is slightly top-heavy, but what do you expect for a long pole saw that is battery operated. I never use the extension piece because I can only cut at least a 4 inch branch and it does wobble when it is extended- if the chain got stuck when it was insanely high up, I would be out of luck. Other than that for a 40 W cordless pole saw – it works pretty darn good. Also, the leaking of the oil is a bummer but I just try to drain it out so I can hang it up.

I had considered a pole saw, but all the gasoline ones are super heavy for a lady, andI had bad experiences with recharable batteries in the past not lasting, so hadnt evenconsidered a battery pole saw. Then a friend got one of a different brand, it cut excellenttho had a fiberglass pole that sagged and bounced, and it was still heavy for me. So Iresearched and this was the lightest one I could find with good reviews. And the pole is madeof aluminum which is the very lightest, more then fiberglass and doenst bend.I use it without the extension, which makes it too out of balence for me, but I can stilleasily reach ten feet which is plenty to take limbs off of trees as well as reaching intothorny brush at ground level to cut out saplings without getting all stickered. So this isjust what I have been needing for years. I do have a full size gas chain saw for big wood,but this is so nice for small. Congratulations to greenworks for making such a nice saw,and the battery lasts a long time on a charge too!, much to my amazement!!

I was concerned, and still am, that the parts came loose and disorganized in the box, and the product with slight signs, as if it had been handled previously, even though I bought a new device. It is not true that it does not require oil. Yes, you need it and you have to buy it separately, but it is easy to place and doesn't get dirty. I have used it a couple of times and it has worked perfectly. It is lightweight and cuts very well.

The saw is convenient and long enough for my needs. It’s a bit top heavy and difficult to balance at long reaches. The chain is not the best quality and after very few uses had deformed such that it would stick in the bar. Replaced the chain with an Oregon chain and it worked fine. I might consider buying a better quality bar as well. Overall, for the price, it’s all good.

So I had purchased a Ryobi 10 inch saw as I had the hand tool set and it was so heavy. I had borrowed one of these from my dad and was impressed with it. It felt like it was half the weight of the Ryobi and the balance was a lot better. The cost was also half of what the Ryobi was. I already have cut about 50 limbs with it and I am very happy with this product. I don't usually give 5 start but this one deserves it and is a great value.

I've been looking for a pole saw for a while and I chose Greenworks because all my lawn equipment is from GW, I like their products and the batteries are interchangeable. I'm a small woman and it took me a few times to get used to using it but I got lots of practice after Hurricane Milton, I was so happy to have it and now find it very easy to use. The little blade is quite powerful and cuts larger limbs than I thought it would. I don't know how I got along without it.
