The 40V snow thrower works fine, especially in light to moderate snow. The thrower is solid, well-constructed and easy to use. The rotating blower duct works well and is easy to change direction, side to side and up and down.I have some minor issues: - The assembly instructions were not all that helpful. Needed go go to YouTube for help. - The 40V battery limits the throw range and has a relatively short life before it needs a rechargeProbably a good choice for areas that on't get a lot of snow. I'd go with the 80V machine if more power is needed.

This little snow thrower works best in at least 2” of snow and upto 10”. It is much louder than a different brand and doesn’t throw as far as I’d like it, that’s why it’s a 4 star not 5. It’s quite easy to maneuver ( about 30 lbs) and great on large deck which is why I bought it.

We get A LOT of snow. After the first nasty dump of the white stuff (which was wet and heavy) and after being in pain from shoveling, we said no more! We didn't want a big bulky gas unit so shopped around until landing on this perfect one.Small and light enough to maneuver easily and most importantly has enough power to do the big jobs. We looked at this based on it was a "Amazon's Choice" item then what sealed the deal was the positive reviews. When the unit arrived 2 days later I was super satisfied with the solid build and easy assembly.Worked perfect for us!

I recently purchased the GreenWorks 2600502 13 Amp 20-Inch Corded Snow Thrower and so far, it has been a solid investment. Here are a few things I liked about it:Pros: • Powerful Enough for Most Jobs: Despite being electric, it has enough power to handle typical snowfalls. I used it on a 6-inch deep snow pile, and it cleared my driveway efficiently. • Lightweight & Easy to Use: At around 30 pounds, this snow thrower is easy to maneuver, even for someone not used to heavy machinery. It’s also compact enough for easy storage in my garage. • Wide and Deep Clearing Path: The 20-inch clearing width is perfect for quickly cleaning larger areas, and the 12-inch depth is sufficient for most residential tasks. • Corded Design: No need to worry about running out of battery mid-job, though you need to be mindful of the power cord while working.Cons: • Limited Range Due to Cord: Since it’s corded, I had to manage the length of the cord carefully, especially when working on larger areas. You’ll definitely need a long outdoor extension cord. • Not for Heavy Snow: While it handles light to medium snow easily, it may struggle with heavy, packed snow or large snow drifts, which is expected for an electric model.Overall: This snow thrower offers great value for its price. It’s ideal for people living in areas with moderate snowfalls and looking for an easy-to-use, eco-friendly alternative to gas-powered machines. I’d definitely recommend it for typical residential snow clearing needs.

Assembly was easy, and I recently tried it out after getting a few centimeters of heavy-ish snow. It worked well and I was surprised how well it throws the snow! It's a bit challenging on packed-down sections, you kind of have to chip away at those but I was expecting that. Otherwise I got my 40 ft driveway done in a fraction of the time I used to spend shoveling, even with doing a couple of places by hand such as the stairs and close to the car.A coworker has the same snowblower, and we observed the 'start' label instructions seem to be reverse of what actually works: instead of pulling the bail handle first then pressing the button, try holding the button first and then pulling the bail handle back. The former instructions seem to be how the Greenworks lawnmower works, so we think they cut corners and used the same label for the snowblower ;-)Otherwise quite happy with it so far.

I've read a ton of reviews, particularly critical ones for these machines as I wasn't sure if I should get a corded or battery one. I have a 2-stage ARIENS gas blower but it's a pain to maintain so I wanted to get something electric and went with something small as a test. This machine is quite light-weight but because it is CORDED, that's also where the power comes from! It works surprisingly well with wet snow and of course you need to shovel when the snow is not all packed down or the wet snow cannot be higher than the machine itself or it'll get bogged down. But it sure can handle half a foot of wet snow no problem. Snow got stuck inside chute once so I WD40 the inside of the chute. For this price, I have not had to haul out the gas one and pray that it'd start. Just make sure you check the manual for your model and get the appropriate extension cord, different lengths, different gauge or you won't get enough power or too much power and damage the motor.

I would have bought a snowBLOWER had I realized, and if they'd had one available, but I bought this without realizing. I was worried at first, and while I must admit that you'll need to work with its capabilities (like, no trying to chew up giant road-ice-chunks from the road plow and such), it has proved capable in this '20 to '21 Adirondack winter. Upstate NY has a serious bit of snow, but this handled everything pretty well. It's light, agile, but "really solid enough to feel like a tool", which is important to me. It doesn't 'feel like a toy'.I was worried that a battery-operated snow thrower might not perform well, and while I would suggest that people buy a 6.0Ah (or more if they have them?) battery for it, but with my 6.0Ah battery fully charged, I have enough energy to snowblow my sidewalk to the road, the driveway, my *neighbor's* driveway, and a bit more energy left at the end. Granted, these are not enormous driveways, just 'standard suburbs length' instead of rural-road-terrors, but still. The 4.0Ah battery is alright, but the 6.0 hasn't run out before I was done even in heavy snow. The only snow it was defeated by...and I can understand why...was snow where 8-10" fell and then we had a run of freezing rain, so it was wet, HEAVY, ice-topped snow. For *that*, I grabbed out my shovel and ice-breaker and cleared it manually. Everything else this winter, and ESPECIALLY the light, powdery ski-snows, were a breeze to handle. In fact this thing can toss light powder up SO well that it can snow it across your neighbor's place by accident. Thankfully, it also looks like perfectly normal snowfall when you do that, so they don't have to get mad at me!The device is very nice, but it does have a few things that could be better. The throw-chute is very light, as is the mechanism, so heavy snow can slowly 'straighten out' the aim of your snow-tossing towards dead-ahead. It's not a big deal, but can happen. One pretty-wet snowstorm left stuff that made me need to adjust the chute a few times before I was done, but even that wasn't too bad.It throws any depth of powder-snow, and the 20" one I have handles even wetter-heavyish stuff at up to about 2/3 of its scoop height. Deeper than that, I tended to push it forwards and let it 'ride up' on the snow, then pull it back and throw the remainder. That's one thing I should mention. This device worked quite nicely, but I needed to figure out how quickly to shove it forward. It's not a snow BLOWER, it's a THROWER. If you jam it a lot (so it turns off and needs restarted) then try going forward a little less quickly. The power output difference between 'loading it so hard that my headlights can dim a bit' and "Jammed it on a piece of road ice" can be hard to be sure on, so the manufacturer tended on the side of "Not letting the batteries dead-short and do a 'Samsung Galaxy Note 7' explosion trick", and I'm alright with that. If you stall the thrower on not-ice, just...I know it'll be hard, but!...be a bit more patient. Push a tiny bit slower. It handles amazing depths of snow for me now without stalling, though I did have to get used to it at first.I'm not big on reviewing my purchases at all, but I went out of my way to post this one because, after a winter of use in very-upstate NY, it did just fine. Would happily suggest this device to people if they have other Greenworks Max items to share batteries between, like I have a mower and leaf-blower and edger too.

I want to start this review by pointing out the proper extension cord to buy. Amazon recommends a 16/3 extension cord. While specifications may consider this "acceptable" please spend the extra money and buy a 12/3 cord. Keep in mind, the longer the cord, the heavier it needs to be. A high quality cord goes a long way in preventing a fire. I personally bought a 100 foot 12/3 extension cord that is made by Southwire in the USA.Now for the actual product review. I purchased this blower as a deal of the day for ~$100, and I cannot believe how well it works. Being such a small, electric blower, I was unsure how well it would do, but for $100 I thought I'd give it a try. Let me tell you, I am very impressed. Assembly was very straightforward, and was out of the box and assembled in under 10 minutes without reading the directions. And if you read the manual, you will find it comes with a 4 year warranty. Will it be of use, or even worth using? Who knows. My intended use of this snowblower is for clearing snow from a flat rubber roof. My garage was built with a flat rubber roof, and while the weight of snow has not appeared to bother it at all, I have always been worried about the weight of snow, especially when it is wet snow. I always dreaded keeping it clean because who wants to shovel wet and heavy snow, let alone on a roof 15 feet off the ground. The blower is light weight at about 30 pounds, so I can carry it up and down the extension ladder if I don't want to start the tractor to lift it up for me.It woks very well, and throws snow well. Under ideal conditions, I have thrown powdery snow 30 feet, and the wet heavy compacted snow, about 5-6 feet. It has made keeping the roof free of snow much easier on my back. I also blow about a 25 foot path between my house and garage. In my snow removal arsenal, I have a V plow on my truck, a tractor with loader, another tractor with cab, loader, and 6 foot snowblower, as well as a garden tractor with a cab and blower, in addition to various shovels. While each piece of equipment serves a purpose, this is a lightweight, compact blower and it works well for the work it was designed for.
