Greenlee 540-24 Ez Reach Stix Kit with Bullet Nose And J-Hook Threaded Tip, 24'This Greenlee set worked better then a set I bought locally. The stix stayed tightly threaded during use and I had no problems with the 24' reach. Did the job for me.

I used these sticks to push and pull a dozen ethernet cables through my attic for security cameras. I think they are "mostly" great, but here is a suggestion you can use to perhaps save yourself some extra cash. If you're going to use the hook to grab your wires or cable, first remove the o-ring between the hook and the rod. Then wrap about six or seven loops of teflon plumbers tape around the threads of the hook attachment. Then tighten it down as much as you think you need to in order to avoid buying a $15 replacement hook (after sales tax) because the tip came off in the very corner of your attic underneath a bunch of insulation and dust where you are never, and I mean never, going to be interested in looking for it. I may be speaking from experience about this. Overall I think they are a bit expensive but it meant I didn't have to crawl into those corners of the attic so it was worth it. Just bear in mind the replacement tips are also expensive but if you take adequate precautions you should be fine.

I've have had a set of these for about 10 years, and they were do for replacement, so I ordered this replacement set. If you run wire, these and a will make your life so much easier! Would not live without either of them!

Well built, stiff rods but easier to maneuver in ceilings

These do exactly as advertised. Worked out real nice pulling #6 wire from main breaker on N outside of house through the attic to the garage on the S side of the house. If it wasn't for this product, I would have needed a helper.

The thin fiberglass is stiff enough to push through blockages (where possible), yet flexible enough to bend slightly around blockages, I used it successfully to push through the stack cavity of a 70 year old house.

Every homeowner should have one of these tools. it's a bit on the expensive side, but it works great. There are cheaper versions of this Greenlee, but the 24 footer works on most everything. Also, there's a 12 foot version as well.
