I love these cutting boards! I've had them about 3 weeks, and use them multiple times per day. They are flat, rigid, lightweight, easy to handle, easy to clean, dry fast, and the range of sizes is great. Much better than the plastic cutting boards they replaced!The top and bottom of each cutting board is a single piece of bamboo. On the larger boards, one or more darker bands across the board show the bamboo's natural joints, called nodes. The boards are gorgeous to look at, a pleasure to work on, and nice to touch. (I LOVE the rounded edges.)Each board is a sandwich: top, core, bottom, with all joints on the edges of the board so no glued joint touches your food. The working surfaces smell only of bamboo. (If I sniff the edges where the glued joints are, I can faintly smell wood glue.)The boards are finished with odorless food-grade mineral oil. After 2 weeks of daily use and detergent scrubs, I started to see a slight dulling of the finish. I refreshed them using the same butcher block oil (odorless food-grade mineral oil) I use on wooden cutting boards. I made sure the bamboo was thoroughly dry, wiped on a small amount of oil, and let them dry overnight in my vertical cutting board rack. This returned the finish to like-new condition.

Exactly what I was looking for, and got what I expected! No glue bamboo board, no other chemicals (I've been looking for a good bamboo cutting board for a long time and some products use wood finishing products that I didn't want). Nice size and look for my kitchen too. (for newcomers: bear in mind that the board smells like bamboo. may take time getting used to it) Never stop making this please!!

I bought this particular cutting board because the cutting surface in one piece. It's not pieced together and glued. It's a good thick and heavy size, and i leave it on my counter for constant use. I was looking for a cutting board specifically with a crumb and gravy catching groove around the edge. Lifetime Replacement! How can you not like that.

Great product so far. Used for chopping and slicing. Seems like it will clean off easily after use and hold up well. Time will tell.Beautiful looking, Reasonably priced, convenient sizes. Just a bit TOO heavy in weight to keep moving around as I do.

I was really excited about using this product since it was recommended by the EWG as a good/safe alternative to plastic boards, but I’m disappointed to share it imparted a weird taste to cut up apples I left on the board for about an hour. I did wash it by hand first after receiving and noticed it still had an odd smell even after that. That smell matched the flavor it left on my food. Kind of a peanut or sesame oil smell? Not a great accompaniment to the foods I wanted to cut up on it, unfortunately. I am stuck keeping this now that I’ve used it, but I would not recommend to others. I may try oiling it to see if that reduces the flavor in the future.

The board is as described. It is large, solid and lovely wood. I washed and oiled before using. It cleaned up nicely after used for carving a turkey. My only complaint is that the groove is not deep enough to hold juices from the meat. It is good quality and heavy enough to stay in place. It also works well as a serving piece. It arrived when promised in good condition— even though the shipping box was damaged. I would recommend.
